accounts for approximately 1.8% of all cancers diagnosed in the United States. (American Cancer Society)

In 2024, it is estimated that around 35,000 new cases of multiple myeloma will be diagnosed in the U.S. (American Cancer Society)

About 95% of multiple myeloma cases occur in individuals aged 45 and older, with the median age at diagnosis being 69. (American Cancer Society)

Men are about 1.3 times more likely to develop multiple myeloma compared to women. (National Cancer Institute)

African Americans are approximately twice as likely to develop multiple myeloma compared to Caucasians. (American Cancer Society)

And rates have more than doubled over the past two decades due to new treatment options. (American Cancer Society)
