I'm sorry for the extra heat for all you southern folks.
We are back this week to benefit the National Aportion Funds - seeking to help maintain access to reproductive rights and autonomy. All funds raised go straight to them.

Yoga for a Cause meets Pride!
This month we return to The Trevor Project . The Trevor project is working to make the world safer for LGBTQ youth. They are on the front lines supporting youth in crisis. They are educating communities on how to provide safer space for youth. They are advocating for LGBTQ rights in local and state and federal legislatures. They are researching the causes of mental health crisis for LGBTQ youths and enacting change to help heal and prevent mental health problems.

Simply put.
The Trevor Project saves lives.

Every Thursday month at 7p est/6p cst, we help them.

Hello friends!
Yoga for a Cause is still at it. We recently passed our 2nd anniversary and have raise almost $5000 to date.

This year's charities have been the Peace and Conciliation Project, Unity Farm Sanctuary, International Rescue Committee, and Fund Texas Choice

We still meet every Thursday at 6p central/ 7p eastern, so join us tonight and every Thursday! Every dollar donated goes directly to the charitable recipient.

Hello!

I am late in getting the reminder out. We're moving at the end of the month... transition is good, but chaotic!

We are yogaing tonight, Wednesday, at 7p est, 6p cst. This month's charity is Bikes not Bombs.
This organization "uses the bicycle as a vehicle for social change to achieve economic mobility for Black and other marginalized people in Boston and the Global South." They recycle and refurbish bikes, preventing usable bikes from being landfilled. They have youth programs to teach kids bike safety and bicycle mechanics skills. They send bikes to people who need reliable transportation - both in the States and overseas. They are working to help overseas communities develop bike shops and programs to create local sustainability of mobility for their citizens.

We go back to Thursdays next week, July 15.

Last month we sent $275 to Khalsa Aid International to help with their Covid-19 relief efforts in India.

After a week off to recharge, we are back for yoga tomorrow!

First, we are donating $120 to Woburn, MA food bank from the previous weeks' donation! Starting tomorrow, we'll be shifting charities through the end of May...

The Covid Pandemic has surged in India and pushed the health system to the breaking point. All donations tomorrow and through May will go to support relief efforts.

Today we capped nine months of yoga with $2202 raised for 27 different charities this year.
December ended with $205 raised for the New Georgia Project.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am to everyone who donated time, treasure, and energy this year. It has been wonderful to reconnect to you all and share the mat for the first time with a handful of you. This class has been a bright spot for me this year.

We've raised $175 so far in December for New Georgia Project !!

This organization works to enfranchise, educate, and advocate for Georgia voters. Right now, they are helping people get to the polls for the Senate runoff with ride shares and making sure that anyone waiting in line to vote have what they need to be able to stay in line and be safe in line with food, water, and ppe. They are also helping people track and correct any problems with absentee ballots.

They are nonpartisan, nonprofit, and doing great work to make sure the people's voices are heard.

Join us for another special Wednesday edition of yoga for a Cause where all money raised this week will add to this total.

I hope everyone had a safe holiday!
I realized I never posted recent donation information...

Three weeks ago, we sent $50 to Go Vote Georgia.
Two weeks ago, we raised $25 for the Watertown Food Pantry.

For December, we'll be donating to the same charity every week. Information on the charity will be posted this evening.
