How It Works:

If you live with someone who has physical, mental, or emotional limitations, you can become their caregiver.

As a caregiver, you’ll assist with daily tasks like bathing, meal prep, companionship, and more.

A tax-free stipend of up to $1,500/month based on the level of care.

Requirements to Become a Caregiver:

Must be 16+ years old.

Must be able to assist with daily living activities (ADLs).

Can be a family member or non-family member (but not a spouse or legal guardian).

Participant must have MassHealth Standard, Senior Whole Health, or another approved insurance provider.

Adult Foster Care is a Massachusetts Program that pays a tax-free stipend to people's family members, allowing family members to take care of their loved ones in the comfort of their own home.

If you qualify, the entire process takes very little time and no longer than 2-3 weeks before care begins.

You do not have to quit your day job if you already have one, and the member is not confined to the house 24 hours a day either. Our program assures that the family or friend, who is in most cases already providing this assistance, is adequately trained and supported.

Furthermore, an RN and Care Manager visit the home once a month to assure that the needs of your loved one are being met.
