Coming back from a few days at assisting ‘s Art of Hibernation retreat, and I’m feeling deeply grounded.

Working alongside Jacqui is always profound. Her work supports people in strengthening their roots in a quiet, steady way, and it’s powerful to witness. There are so many layers to what she offers. Even though I was there to assist, I was also lucky to receive the benefits of the work myself.

Katie and Leo, the other assistants, are just amazing to work with. Their energy, presence, and care made the whole experience feel so complete. I’m truly grateful to have been a part of it.

I also spent a lot of time outside, hiking through the snow. I felt prepared and comfortable, and most of the time I had the trails to myself. On my third hike, I stopped to meditate, then stayed longer drinking hot coffee from my thermos and feeling the earth beneath me. It was emotional and grounding, and I could really feel the energy of Kripalu in that moment.

There was so much beautiful time to be present.

I’m easing back into everyday life with more awareness and a deeper sense of grounding.

Christmas Eve felt like a love letter to this city.
Dining at and seeing the Nutcracker.
Then walking through the Common, the Garden, and around , the college I went to, in the most beautiful puffy snow.
I remember going to this ballet when I was little, and it felt especially meaningful to bring my daughter and share that memory with her.
