Mass General employees watching Jeopardy! Friday night might have been shouting at their TVs: In the category “19th Century Folk,” a $1600 clue read “The Ether Dome at this New England hospital is where William T.G. Morton made the first use of modern surgical anesthesia in 1846.” Alas, all three contestants were stumped.
