What is one of the secret weapons to stay limber, prevent injuries and rehabilitate existing ones? Mobility drills! They are crucial to keep us agile and supple. This simple mobility drill- stretch, used before and after playing can make a world of difference in how our body moves on and off court. Try it for a months and see for yourself. Convergence is the ability to of the eyes to team up and focus on the target - ball - as it gets closer to the body. Divergence is the ability of the eyes to maintain the focus on the target - ball - as it gets further away from the body. If you prefer to observe things from far in life, watch TV from further away, if you don’t like reading, or if you don’t like to come up to the net when playing Pickleball, you might have a convergence problem. The good news is that you can train convergence insufficiency. How? Sport Vision Training is the answer? Coming up in two days, 1/25/24 12-1pm at Fleischmann Park Comm Center. Cannot make it? Having 20/20 only means we can see an object from 20 feet while we are seated and the object is stationary. Seeing well and reacting well to the ball, tracking the ball, having fast hands and fast feet on the courts requires different dynamic vision skills and integration of those drill. How do we do that? Come and learn the very basics of sport vision and how can you make your game better right away using some eye exercises.
