German Centre provides an elder care setting that cultivates and preserves the traditions and culture of persons of German heritage. We welcome anyone who may choose to benefit from our ability to offer the most advanced senior health care services in a German cultural environment.

New Year’s Celebration at Pavilion
Our New Year’s celebration was filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Residents had a wonderful time celebrating together, and we were happy to welcome a few family members who joined us for the fun. There was music, dancing, and lots of smiles all around. You can truly feel the happiness and excitement in these photos—it was a fun and special way to ring in the New Year together.

The German Centre assisted living community was filled with holiday cheer as we welcomed a wonderful group of Girl Scouts who stopped by to share festive songs with our residents.

Their joyful voices and kind hearts brought smiles, laughter, and the true spirit of the season to everyone who joined us. We are so grateful for this special visit and the warmth they shared with our community.

We were honored to host the 2025 Sullivan-Walsh Scholarship Luncheon on Friday, December 12!

Leadership, clinical staff, and members of the Sullivan family came together for a special luncheon celebrating two outstanding team members whose compassion, professionalism, and dedication exemplify what it means to provide resident-centered care.

We were proud to present the Barbara P. Sullivan Memorial Nursing Assistant Scholarship and the Mary Ellen Walsh Honorary Nursing Assistant Scholarship, recognizing excellence, integrity, and commitment to growth in service to our residents and families.

It was a meaningful opportunity to pause, reflect, and show appreciation for the heart and talent that make our community so strong.

Yveline Antoine was voted Employee of the Month based on the overwhelming number of votes she received. Yveline has made a positive impact on our kitchen services since she began working with us in 2015. In 2022, she was promoted to Dietary Supervisor.

Yveline is a wonderful co-worker who is patient with both staff and residents and deeply dedicated to meeting everyone’s nutritional needs. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure participants in our Adult Day Health program receive customized meal and snack options tailored to what they want—and need—each day.

Organized, courteous, thoughtful, and conscientious, Yveline always looks ahead to what can and should be done. Her commitment and care make a meaningful difference in our community.

Thank you to everyone who generously donated to our Toy Drive. Your kindness and support will make a meaningful difference for families in need this holiday season.

Today, District E-5 picked up the donated toys to distribute to families and communities including Georgetown Housing, Archdale Housing, and Beach Street Housing. We’re grateful to Officer Downey and Officer England, pictured here, for assisting with the pickup and helping ensure these gifts reach those who need them most.

For anyone who would still like to contribute, Rockland Trust Bank in West Roxbury is continuing to accept toy donations.

Thank you again for helping us spread joy and make the season brighter for our community.

Our Memory Care community enjoyed a beautiful holiday celebration filled with music, seasonal treats, and moments of connection that made the day truly special. From shared smiles to familiar traditions, it was a joyful reminder of how meaningful this time of year can be when celebrated together.

Our residents celebrated the season alongside more than 400 members of the community at the Ethos Holiday Party! Thank you to Ethos for hosting such a joyful event—our Edelweiss Village Assisted Living residents loved dancing, meeting new friends, and sharing in the festive spirit.

The residents of Edelweiss Village had a wonderful time getting into the holiday spirit by making gingerbread houses with the students of Roxbury Latin.

Laughter, creativity, and sweet treats filled the room as generations came together for a truly joyful afternoon. Thank you to the Roxbury Latin students for sharing your time, energy, and holiday cheer!

Twinkling lights, holiday music, and so many smiles!

On Friday, December 5, residents, families, and staff from German Centre came together for our annual Holiday Party and Tree Lighting. From festive treats and warm cocoa to joyful carols and sparkling décor, it was a beautiful evening of community and cheer.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to our incredible team for making the night so special. The season feels a little brighter because of you.
