From leaf to can!

All tea based beverages should be made this way, right?? But they’re not. Our goal is to create an iced tea that maintains the same health benefits as a freshly brewed cup of tea. We cold brew our yaupon leaves in water to fully extract yaupon’s naturally rich antioxidant content, as well as its smooth and delicious taste. It’s like making a homemade iced tea with real, organic, and simple ingredients for a delicious American iced tea!

Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day! Yaupon has a rich indigenous history. Native Americans have consumed and celebrated the benefits of yaupon for millennia. We are grateful for being able to continue the celebration of this amazing native American plant and to source our wild-harvested yaupon from a Native American farm. One of the motivations for starting Freedom Fluid was to help others to enjoy the benefits of drinking locally grown Yaupon, and we look forward to continuing to support native food systems. 🙏

Which iced tea do you want to drink? One of the health benefits of tea is its polyphenol content, which is a potent antioxidant that fights free radicals, reduces inflammation, and provides immune support in the body. However, not all teas are equal, and especially iced teas. Different teas have different amounts of polyphenols. And iced tea is often made with tea powder or sugar water with tea flavoring, which provides the lowest polyphenol content.

At Freedom Fluid, we use yaupon tea leaves and cold brewing methods to make an iced tea that is actually rich in antioxidants. When we tested Freedom Fluid’s polyphenol content in a 3rd party lab, we were thrilled by the results. Suuurprise!! 🎉Did you know that the USA has its our own version of Yerba Mate? 🍃 Its called Yaupon. 🍃Yerba Mate and Yaupon are from the same plant species, but Yerba Mate is from South America and Yaupon is native to the USA. Our Yaupon is wild harvested meaning it only uses rainwater and sunshine to grow; and has a smaller carbon footprint from less transportation. 🌎 Here’s to celebrating ourselves for who we are!
