Thanks for a great Fall Fest 5K Run & Walk for the Esplanade!

All of the smiles, steps, rolls and strolls of 800+ participants added up to great support for all we bring to the park: free youth programs & concerts, tree & garden plantings, and major projects like pathway safety and our year-round welcome center and campus coming in 2026!

Our second tip for pedestrian safety month: Keep right on the paths, except to pass! (We’re still working on teaching the geese!)🪿
Our shared paths work best when everyone looks out for one another, gives space, and signals before passing. 🗣️

Hey runners, cyclists, and walkers in Greater Boston! Did you know that October is National Pedestrian Safety Month? Look for tips all month long about safe travel on the Esplanade. 
 
Tip #1: Pedestrians ALWAYS have the right of way. Be patient with each other; a little kindness goes a long way! 💚
