One of the most impactful parts of the symposium for me was the Champions session — this section celebrates the leaders and trailblazers who are driving progress in neurosurgery.

From Sierra Leone to Syria, Nepal to Kenya — each story was a reminder of what it really takes to build something meaningful. Grateful to be a part of it.

Sharing knowledge and expertise to make a real difference. In April, we had the privilege of hosting the largest global neurosurgery symposium in Boston, with one clear goal: improving access to care worldwide.

The MGB Global Neurosurgery Symposium brought together impactful and dynamic leaders from all over the globe, each contributing their expertise to drive the conversation forward.

The event concluded with the Boston Declaration, signed by 100+ global health advocates, and set the stage for our program to bring care to low- and middle-income communities.

Additionally, 90 commitments from major neurosurgical programs will help strengthen efforts to bring care where it’s needed most.

This is just the beginning of a larger movement.

Bonnie and her husband Richard are living proof that life doesn't slow down in your 70s- it just gets better.

In 2018, Bonnie was facing a major stroke. But thanks to rapid action and a catheter-based intervention by our team at Brigham, she made a full recovery.

Today, she's back to what matters most- traveling, making memories, and cherishing time with her grandson. Because when it comes to stroke, every second counts.

Surgeons in Afghanistan are now leveraging Zoom and smart glasses and advanced tech to attend virtual conferences, watch live surgeries, and improve their skills in real-time. This innovative and bi-lateral approach is bringing expert knowledge directly to the operating room on both sides.

By connecting with global specialists, Afghan surgeons are gaining vital insights to enhance patient care and outcomes. Technology is truly revolutionizing healthcare and empowering professionals worldwide!
