We're all familiar with Marathon Monday in Boston and the Charles River Health dental team held a Dental Marathon to provide outstanding service to all our dental patients!

A big thank you to the Dental Team and a special shoutout to Dr. Astrid Pena for the original concepts and Dr. Manuela Nunez for the video editing.

Thank you to House leadership for including language in the House budget that would limit any cap on MassHealth dental benefits to not less than $1,750. Many of our adult patients have not been to the dentist in years because of the stress of their lives and out of fear of the cost of dental services. As a result, when they arrive at our clinics in Brighton and Waltham there is often significant work for us to do to restore their ability to eat and drink without pain, to sleep without pain, and to preserve their adult teeth for decades to come.

We're building out more space for our dental practice in Brighton so we can serve more patients. And we’re hoping Massachusetts Medicaid will preserve dental benefits for adult patients. Whether you love the dentist (or don’t!) we all know how important healthy, pain-free teeth and gums are to smiling, eating, working, overall physical health, and a good night’s sleep!

As you may know, we recently completed a significant expansion at our Brighton facility which included adding several new exam rooms and a new nursing station. We were able to do this thanks to the generous financial support of our long-time partners at Beth Israel Lahey Health. We were pleased to dedicate part of the new space in honor of our partnership. One exam room is dedicated to Edwin Huang, MD, and Mount Auburn Hospital’s Midwifery Program team, who established and continue to support midwifery services at Charles River Community Health. The nursing station is dedicated to the entire staff of Charles River Community Health. Thanks, BILH, for your many years of support!

We are pleased to present our 2025 Annual Report. Inside, you’ll find information about the diverse and vibrant population that makes up our community of over 13,600 patients who trust us with their care. We have listings of the many donors, corporate and foundation partners, government agencies and elected officials who support our work. There is an overview of our fiscal year 2025 financials, fascinating profiles of several long-time providers, and much more.

This past year was a busy and eventful time at CRCH, full of challenges and accomplishments. We can’t say enough about the great work of our dedicated and committed staff. Throughout the year, our staff enthusiastically looked for innovative ways to help our community thrive and live happier and healthier lives.
