This is my story and I am .

Being a first-generation immigrant child has it's challenges.

I knew that wasn't an excuse, and I wanted to break the generational curse and do better for myself, and that was to seek a higher education.

The 5 years that I was in college were rough. There were so many times I wanted to drop out, my family was sacrificing a lot and I would take on 2 to 5 jobs each semester just to make it through.

I learned that you don't have to have all the money in the world to be successful, you just need to find the resources.

I knew knowledge was my key to success.

That's when Entrepreneurship sparked my interest.

Life had taught me to be independent, and helped me build this work ethic despite the circumstances.

Lesly Lash & Co was created because I wanted a brand that represented me and all I've been through. For the upcoming boss, that young lady pushing through. You can reach your dreams in style with our eco-friendly and cruelty free lashes.

And of course, donating 10% of our montly proceeds to charity.

Before launch, it required a lot of "testing" to be done. Making sure the products were perfect. I was spending way more than I earned but I knew it would be worth it.

During this phase I kept thinking "Did i make the right decision?".

I'm here to tell you that was the best decision ever, life is full of risks.. are you going to take them?

I surpassed the expectation of my very first launch. I made more in my first launch than I did working 5 jobs in one semester.

I'm here to tell you, that if I could do it, so can you. No matter where you come from, or where you want to go. No dream is too crazy. YOU CAN DO IT.

“After taking maternity leave, I discovered how tough Postpartum was after my second child was born. Then COVID happened and yes, we all got diagnosed with it and I truly believed my career was over. God truly showed me where I needed to be, which is where I’m at today.⁣

My world was falling apart.⁣

I thought I would never be able to recover from this and continue to pursue my passion.⁣

However, the greatest success for me is that I started my annual Cut-a-Thon event where I raise money to give a grant back to a student in the beauty or barber industry.⁣

I’ll never forget the lows I went through when I first started my business.⁣
⁣
Looking back at it, they taught me so many valuable lessons and built me into the woman I am today.⁣

Most of all, it taught me hard work, perseverance, and kindness will get you through the toughest of times.⁣

I was fresh out of college with no job opportunity that truly aligned with my values. I knew the 9-5 route would leave me unfulfilled, so I took the ultimate risk and bet on myself to turn my dreams into reality. ⁣

My fashion sense has always been a bit eccentric and out of the norm especially for the city that I’m from.⁣

I struggled for a while to literally find my .⁣

I’ll never forget one of the first pop up events I did and nobody attend my table to support my business.⁣
⁣
I was crushed.⁣
⁣
I can still remember the sound of people walking by and whispering to their friends, “weird.”⁣
⁣
When nobody around you knows your vision or notices your potential... you start feeling empty inside.⁣
⁣
I remember holding back tears and having to convince myself that good things were coming. I knew the amount of work that I had put into my art and my business.⁣

As they say, the harder you work, the luckier you get.⁣

That same day that crushed me turned into a day that built me.⁣

By the end of the event I had received my first customer who bought a purse I had worked on for days.⁣

I’ll never forget my first customers eyes as she stood there with her purse beaming with happiness.⁣
