Bridging the Gap – Church, Family & Funeral Home
Yesterday was nothing short of divine alignment. 🙏
I am so grateful to Greater Framingham Community Church, Rev. Dr. J. Anthony Lloyd, for leading his flock and providing opportunities for them to be fed. To Deacon Addie Burgan for abiding by and standing in the charge on her heart.
To my Soror Sister – Rev. Beverly Thompson, my Soror Sister – Lisa Renee Cargill, and my new Sister in Christ – Deborah Todd, thank you for your trust, your hearts, and your warm embrace.
To Deacon Gerald Hill, thank you for the seed that God placed in you years ago, which gave you the reverence for this work, and for your incredible assistance throughout the day.
And to the entire GFCC family, thank you for the hospitality and the opportunity to share the mission of Floyd A. Williams Funeral Home and the strategic alliance with PAUSE ~ A Movement for a Moment—our funeral home’s place for healing; a place to find what we coined as the “Wisdom in the Wounds.”
We worshiped together, received communion on Pastor Lloyd’s first Sunday, and opened our hearts and minds to the full scope of life—from legacy building and grief recovery to the sacred partnership between the church, the family, and the funeral home.
This is only the beginning. Together, we will bridge the gap, educate, uplift, and equip our community with the wisdom, faith, and tools to honor life and prepare for what matters most.
💛 Thank you for the love. Thank you for the fellowship. Thank you for the shared vision. The future of this relationship excites me, and I am confident that what we’ve started will ripple far beyond these walls.
