Struggling with headaches? Then this is for you …

Headaches can be such a vicious cycle. You try to avoid triggers, use pain relievers, your headache is relieved temporarily, but then it inevitably pops back up (and usually at the most inconvenient times - am I right?). But what if we told you that you didn’t have to live with them!

Our Physical Therapists use manual therapy and techniques, such as dry needling to help relieve headaches once and for all.

Dry needling is effective at releasing muscle knots, improving mobility, and relieving tension and pain. Because of this we can incorporate it into your treatment plan and say peace out to those nagging headaches✌️

4 tips to achieve a better night sleep - from a Physical Therapist 😴…

Over here at Ripple we like to focus on the overall well-being of individuals. We know that in order to help you heal from an injury we not only need to base our treatment plan on your physical health, but also the emotional stress you carry, which can be impacted by poor sleep habits. If you want to reduce your pain and increase your recovery, we need to start with sleep.

These 4 tips from our team can help:

1. Create a bedtime routine and take a moment to get all the next day thoughts out of your head, by jotting down things like your to-do-list.

2. Put some mindless, phone-free TV on just before bed. Phone free is the key here. Letting your mind and body decompress is critical to allowing your body to fall asleep as soon as you hit the pillow

3. Crawl into bed at the same time each night allowing your body to naturally adjust to a healthy sleep pattern.

4. Use an actual alarm clock. This way you’re not tempted by setting an alarm on your phone and the next thing you know you’ve scrolled Instagram for hours and haven’t even set an alarm yet 😅

Sometimes all it takes is a couple small adjustments to achieve better sleep and well-being.
