Fall is pumpkin season!
Do you know that Pumpkin is one of the treasures for fertility health?

Pumpkin is a good source of fiber for hormone balance and beta carotene for egg health.
Research also shows beta carotene encourages natural progesterone production and supports s***m health.

Don’t skip the seeds. Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc, which boosts libido and encourages s***m production. Research finds zinc may even decrease the risk of recurrent miscarriage. Pumpkin seeds are full of energy and nutrients, and they are worth eating for everyone.

Whether you need a cure for a cold or just a cozy bowl of goodness, Chicken soup is exactly what you need! Especially if it's filled with aromatics, anti-inflammatory spices and fresh herbs.

A little Chicken soup does a lot of good. It's warm and hearty. Chicken is high in tryptophan, which helps your body produce serotonin that can enhance your mood and give you the feeling of 'comfort' that helps make chicken soup a true comfort food.

Even the steam from your Chicken soup is beneficial. The steam hits your face with a comforting aroma. Similar to what chicken soup does for your body, the regular nurturing of your soul benefits your health.

🍲 So, take time to nurture your soul on November 12th as we celebrate National Chicken Soup for the Soul Day.

Some herbal supplements, especially if taken in large doses, have a negative impact on fertility.

St. John's wort, echinacea, and ginkgo Biloba are among the herbs that may affect the chances of conceiving.
Also, recently have been found that the active ingredient curcumin in turmeric could be adverse for fertility. Curcumin reduces the growth of the cells in the lining of the uterus (endometrial cells).

So, if you are trying to become a parent, it is a good idea to talk to a specialist before using any herbal supplements.

When a woman goes through menopause, her levels of estrogen drop sharply. Because estrogen helps maintain bone density, this drop can lead to significant bone loss and, over time, to low bone density.

The risk of significantly decreased bone density is the greatest right before and several years after menopause. After that, the rate of bone loss tends to level off.

Osteoporosis can progress quietly without any symptoms or pain until sudden breaks occur. But the good news is that osteopenia and osteoporosis don’t develop overnight.

Reduce your risk of developing brittle bones with some simple prevention tips:

💪🏻 Live an active lifestyle with a mix of physical activities: walking, yoga, weight training
🥦 Avoid processed foods, and consume more plant protein, fresh fruits, and vegetables.
⚠️Try to avoid caffeine and alcohol because they increase calcium loss.
🌞Take vitamin D and an omega-3 supplement. Calcium is important, and so is magnesium.

Transitioning into perimenopause and menopause may be a tempestuous experience for some women. As estrogen levels drop,
wide-ranging changes go throughout the body. Many of these changes have direct connections to menopausal mood swings as well as to fatigue, stress, forgetfulness, anxiety, and difficulty concentrating.

Of course, the best way to deal with the unpleasant symptoms of menopause is a combination of supplements and a healthy lifestyle.

Here are some holistic steps you can take to prevent mood swings:

Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods
Eat a balanced, healthy diet with fruits, vegetables, and whole grains
Get enough sleep
Exercise regularly
Find healthy ways to deal with stress- acupuncture, yoga, meditation, being in nature, engagement with a hobby, etc.

Recommended supplements:

St. John’s wort
Vitamin D
B vitamins
Ashwagandha
Maca root

Pregnancy changes your life -- and your body.

Here are just a few of the many weird pregnancy symptoms you might experience before your little one arrives

If you experience any of these symptoms, rest assured that things are probably normal, and you don't need to worry about them.
However, there is no guarantee which other symptoms you'll have during the pregnancy, and it's never a bad idea to talk with your healthcare provider about anything that feels especially strange while pregnant.

Chrysanthemum tea is made from the Chrysanthemum flower and has amazing health benefits.

Chrysanthemum is especially good for the skin; it helps to clear acne by reducing redness, inflammation, and irritation. Besides clearing the skin, chrysanthemum also has many other benefits, such as stopping headaches and combating dry, itchy eyes, and it can even help with hangovers. It has been shown to detox the liver, promote weight loss, and more.

Also, it is an excellent source of:
Magnesium.
Phosphorous.
Calcium.
Iron.

Fall is a magical season for pregnant women, especially if the mom-to-be is prepared with all she needs.

Here is what moms-to-be need for an easy-breezy fall pregnancy.

😴Plenty of rest, seven to nine hours of sleep nightly.

🤰 Dressing in layers and keeping legs warm, maternity leggings are a must.

🌞 More time outdoors. Taking walks and being in the sun during the fall provides mom-to-be with exercise and a source of vitamin D that her body needs during this time. Also, the fresh fall air often helps expecting women to relieve stress and clear their minds.

☕️ Warm decaf beverages, especially nice to enjoy some of the ‘scents’ and flavors of fall, such as cinnamon, apples, and pumpkin spice.

Do you want to improve your health holistically?

Savory, soothing, and chock-full of nutrients, bone broth is the path forward for holistic, lasting health.

It has many benefits including:

Promote gut & digestive health
Support joint health and mobility
Support skin, hair and nails
Supports better sleep.

From a TCM perspective benefits of bone broth include boosting a person’s qi, blood, yin, and even essence. Blood and yin are especially important here because these two aspects typically get depleted with chronic conditions as well as through the normal aging process.

It is enough to consume a cup a day and drink it hot like tea. You can also cook with it by using it as a base for extra tasty soups and stews. The key is consistency. The benefits of bone broth build over time.

❗️ Marrow bones (e.g., femur) are good choices for bone broth as they contain high amounts of collagen and amino acids. As a fatty tissue, bone marrow is also a rich source of vitamin D, which is stored in fat. One reported case has noted that regularly drinking high volumes of bone broth, notably beef bone broth, may lead to hypervitaminosis D (excess vitamin D).

Make sure you get enough calcium to protect not only your bones and teeth but also your brain, colon, heart, and even your skin.

While dairy products pack the highest amounts of this mineral, plenty of other good sources exist, many of which are plant-based. This is good news, particularly for vegans and people who are lactose intolerant and cannot fully digest dairy products.

You can easily meet your calcium needs by eating from a diverse list of foods. Also, while it’s always best to get calcium through food, supplements can help ensure you’re meeting your daily needs, particularly if you are postmenopausal or have low levels due to other factors.

👉🏼Here are some other things to consider for getting the most out of nondairy calcium foods:

💥maintain optimal levels of vitamin D, which assists in calcium absorption.
💥decrease sodium intake to prevent loss of calcium in the urine.
💥avoid excessive amounts of calcium inhibitors such as coffee, alcohol, and simple sugar.
