“Just Be.”

That’s the approach Burt Rosen takes to life after being diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer. He’s learned to live in the moment, take opportunities as they come, and give back by supporting fellow neuroendocrine cancer patients and caregivers -often by directing patients to NETRF’s patient education resources.

NETRF provides trusted information and tools that serve as a lifeline for the newly diagnosed and their families. These resources include our patient education podcast, virtual and in-person events, an online trial finder, patient guide, and so much more.

Your gift makes these resources possible.

Donate by December 2 and your contribution will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $75,000!

After 2+ days of exchanging ideas, sharing data, and building new collaborations, the 2025 NETRF Research Symposium has come to a successful close.

Today's program opened with a powerful patient presentation by Jake Dawson, reminding us why this work matters and energizing researchers to push forward with renewed purpose. Later, Dr. Mauro Cives closed the meeting by expressing the "...urgent need to accelerate the pace (and clinical translation) of scientific discoveries in the neuroendocrine cancer field."

Thank you to everyone who participated for making this such a productive meeting and for being such an exceptional community. The momentum from this symposium is sure to drive breakthroughs in the months and years ahead.

And, a special thank you to our sponsors for helping to make this meeting possible: Presenting sponsor Exelixis; additional support provided by Chimeric, ITM and Perspective Therapeutics; travel grant support provided by Jim Rodin, Camurus and RayzeBio.

The first full day of the 2025 Margie and Robert E. Petersen Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Symposium offered powerful insights and inspiration.

Dr. Pamela Kunz's opening keynote traced two decades of remarkable progress in neuroendocrine cancer research and treatment while charting the path forward. As she put it, "NETRF has catalyzed practice-changing research and helped build the next generation of NET scientists."

What makes this symposium truly exceptional? The infusion of patient voices, groundbreaking research discoveries, and a collaborative community united in advancing neuroendocrine cancer science.
