The Heart of the Neighborhood
For nearly 50 years, North End Waterfront Health (NEW Health) has provided exceptional service and quality healthcare to residents of Boston’s North End, Waterfront, and Charlestown neighborhoods. With a staff of over 150, NEW Health provides more than 60,000 service visits annually at 332 Hanover Street, 15 Tufts Street, the Villa Michelangelo, and Charlestown High School.
North End Waterfront Health (NEW Health) has been a staple of Boston’s North End community since we opened as North End Community Health Center in 1971. In the time since, we’ve been established as one of the top health care facilities in the nation. Our inception was part of the community health center movement that had gripped the nation, and our unique Patient-Centered Medical Home model of care has ensured that our patients feel confident and satisfied placing their trust in us.
In addition to primary care services for all patients, many specialty services are also offered including dental, vision, behavioral health, obstetrics, gynecology, neurology, laboratory services, x-ray services and an in-house pharmacy. The health center has immediate access to surgical and sophisticated medical resources at the world-famous Massachusetts General Hospital. NEW Health is a private, non-profit corporation that is governed by a community-based Board of Directors and licensed by the Department of Public Health. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center with a mission of promoting improved health services that are affordable and meet the cultural and linguistic needs of the community.
Whether you need a primary care provider, pediatrician, specialist, or counseling help and support, you can have peace of mind knowing that we will work together with you and your family to provide medical care that is expert, caring and personalized.
