Hello everyone! We hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and start to the holiday season. For those of you looking to support a good cause in this season of caring, we are starting a campaign to support our Pediatric Epilepsy Dietary Therapy Program. We are fortunate to have one of the largest ketogenic dietary therapy centers in the United States, providing dietary therapy to over 300 patients with epilepsy.

One-third of our patients with refractory epilepsy become seizure free through dietary treatment, while another third has a greater than 50% reduction in seizures. This brings immeasurable relief to our refractory epilepsy patients, as most were unsuccessful at achieving seizure control with multiple ant-seizure medications.

All aspects of the dietary therapy program are supported by philanthropy. Your donation makes a huge difference in our ability to offer dietary therapy as a treatment option for all our families. It is the season of being thankful, and the wonderful kids in our Sunflower Syndrome group embodied this at the most recent meeting. All the children worked together to make a "What we are thankful for" tree highlighting what they are thinking of this giving season. The tree is purple, the color for epilepsy, at the children's request. We wanted to share it with you all, and ask: what are you thankful for?
