🐶 Meet Koda, an 8-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi that our Southampton St. location has the pleasure of seeing as a patient!

❤️Both of our BAH locations go above and beyond to accommodate nervous furry friends, but sometimes a little extra help is needed to make them more comfortable. Koda’s mom has found that a head wrap and muzzle combo do wonders to help keep his anxiety at bay.

2020 was a year full of uncertainty for everyone, but one thing Boston Animal Hospital was more than sure about was adding Daniel Hemstreet, DVM to the team. Having Dr. Hemstreet on staff has been nothing short of a gift.

We share some bittersweet news today to let you know that it was Dr. Hemstreet’s last day practicing at Boston Animal Hospital. Dr. Hemstreet accepted an incredible offer at a nearby specialty hospital; it marks a major milestone in his career as a veterinarian and we could not be more proud of him for it.

Before becoming our North Station location’s medical director, he was a veterinarian at our Southampton Street location, making him a familiar face to both practices’ clients and patients.

Dr. Hemstreet is so much more than a doctor. He is a steady hand, a leader and mentor, a thoughtful and calm presence for patients & clients, among a million other things.

Behind the scenes, we will miss him for his quick quips, bizarre PB&J sandwich concoctions, never-ending knowledge on obscure topics, and as a La Colombe fiend.

Thank you for everything, Dr. Hemstreet! We will miss you and can’t wait to watch you soar!

❤️ Luna, the 13-week-old German Shepherd (mix?), graced us with her presence today for a visit with Dr. Antonio and Practice Manager Erin, who filled in and went back to her roots as a vet tech!

👂 We’re a bit obsessed with Luna’s one floppy ear. Do we think she’ll grow out of it? Or will it stay? Let us know below!

🤕 Finnegan, a 1-year-old Labrador Retriever, recently broke his toe. Dr. Hemstreet, Dr. Antonio, and the vet techs at our North Station location have been seeing the sweet boy 1-2 times a week for bandage changes since!

🤪 Staying still can be hard when you’re as full of life as Finnegan is, but he’s been a champ through the whole journey!

❤️ Vet Tech Kelsea is the newest addition to our North Station location. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and outgoing nature has made her a wonderful addition to the Boston Animal Hospital team.
