Tinnitus is the perception of sound when no external sound is present.
Most people describe it as ringing, buzzing, hissing, or clicking in one or both ears.
It’s *not* a disease itself — it’s a symptom.
And it can be caused by several things, like:
* Exposure to loud noise
* Age-related hearing loss
* Ear infections or blockages
* Certain medications
* Issues in the connection between the ear and brain
For some, it’s mild and temporary.
For others, it becomes constant — and seriously impacts sleep, focus, and mental health.
If it doesn’t go away or gets worse, it’s worth digging deeper.
Sometimes the cause isn’t in the ear at all...
