Healthy food is great for… your health. But if you want to lose weight while eating healthfully, you need to eat in a slight calorie deficit while prioritizing foods that keep you full.          
         
2. Your workouts aren’t optimized for fat loss          
         
Your workouts are either:         
1️⃣ Inconsistent         
2️⃣ Consistent but you aren’t doing the right exercises or          
3️⃣ Consistent and you’re doing the right exercises but your diet isn’t optimized

The first ad I saw when I opened my Instagram app today? 
 
A fashion influencer selling a colostrum supplement. 
 
Somewhere along the way, people stopped questioning such things but started questioning science - the process by which mostly good humans IMO try to get real answers and discover the truth.  
 
Happy Registered Dietitian Day to my friends & colleagues who are helping people in so many amazing ways from sports nutrition to eating disorders to body image to taking care of babies in the NICU to helping people have babies to foodservice to grocery stores and so much more. 
 
I just love us 🫢🏻 Keep putting your voices out there because it’s more important than ever right now. 
 
And while even dietitians can disagree on things, I think it’s safe to say, we all agree that Americans could be eating more fruits, vegetables, and fiber, getting better sleep, moving our bodies more, and learning to manage stress better.

The more you tell yourself you can’t have something or that a certain food or food group (carbs πŸ‘€) is bad, the more you want it.
