Still space in David Vendetti’s workshops this coming weekend!

Breath of the infinite
This session is a consciousness shifting celebration of breath and body. Dive into this simple and wildly powerful practice that helps to clear the stress and anxiety from your mind and body and bring about incredible amounts energy and ecstatic freedom.

Bring a pillow or two, yoga mat, or padding, and a blanket… as we dim the lights in level up the rhythm of our breathing to powerful beats and rhythmic drum based music.

There is nothing quite like this experience! Come and see for yourself, how amazing you are!

Listen to Your Heart
The architecture of the spine requires a phenomenal foundation so one can heart open free of compression. Similar to any type of relationship it is facilitated by thoughtful beginnings, a playful spark, and a willingness to explore.

Some of the key points are: to create space in the lumber spine, strengthen the core support, release the hip flexors and, opening the range of motion in the shoulder girdle. In the end helping us to stand taller and breathe infinitely deeper.

Unravel Me
This workshop is a smartly sequenced slow flow of postures, and prop assisted self massage. This sequencing makes sense to the body in a way that allows for remarkable change in a short period of time.

The first portion of the class is about cross patterns in the body. These are the stretches that really open us physically and create postural shift in both the chest and spine.

During the second half of the class the focus is on using that opening to up life and discover places of balance, space and restoration.

Rather than highlighting any one group of muscles this workshop touches lightly on all areas of the body to leave the practitioner feeling wildly open, profoundly grounded, and deliciously complete.

Location: Back Bay - 364 Boylston St, Boston, MA
Price: $50 per session, or $140 for the full weekend 
All cancellations will result in a credit to your account, not a refund. Studio Credit will be offered with 48 hour notice before the event. Any cancellation less than 48 hours will not receive studio credit.

David is a 30 year practitioner of yoga and the founder of Yoga Liberation Front. He anchors his work in non-violent communication, emotional intelligence, and radical education for positive social reform.
David has owned and managed yoga studios for over 20 years, taught yoga at the Trauma Center in Brookline, and has traveled teaching worldwide. He also has been a practicing Structural Integrator and Massage Therapist for over 17 years.
He believes we can always continue to learn. We can  make a difference. We uplift others even while still learning and climbing ourselves. Transcending through building, connecting, and changing together.

Emily Jonas is back and kicking things off with an Intro to Hatha workshop.

Over the course of a few hours, we will explore some of the underpinning philosophy of Hatha Yoga, move through a led version of the asana and pranayama from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and wrap up with some time for questions/ observations and discussions.

Join Cass for a deeply nourishing experience to ground your body, calm your mind, and gently welcome the seasonal shift into fall. This workshop offers a spacious opportunity to reset your nervous system and align with the slower, inward rhythms of the Autumn Equinox.

You’ll be guided through a slow, intentional, Yin Yoga practice with gentle breathwork that will help regulate the nervous system, soften tension, and anchor you into presence.

This Saturday - Join J. for a workshop introducing you to Shadow Yoga, a style of hatha yoga which utilizes rhythmic breathing, kriya, bandha coordination, and the system of vital energetic junctions referred to as marma.

Shadow Yoga consists of circular and spiraling movements, warrior stances, and sun salutation forms that prepare students to safely and effectively practice the more advanced limbs of hatha yoga known as pranayama, pratyahara, dharna, dhyana and samadhi.

In the morning, you will be taught the Shadow Yoga warm-up which includes joint rotations (Dasa Chalana,) self-churning (Jiva Chalana,) and vais̅aka (a yin horse stance.) Depending upon the ability of practitioners present, some of the first prelude form Balakrama (Stepping into Strength) may be demonstrated and practiced. In the afternoon, we will open with a discussion about the morning practice and go through the seated joint rotations and some meditative asanas.

Opened in February 2019,and winner of Boston Magazine’s Best of Boston - Best Yoga Studio, Boston Yoga Union is Boston’s ‘newest old-school yoga studio.’ From the poses, the philosophy, the hard work; to the mystical, the playlist, the sweat AND the surrender: we genuinely love it all.

Our teachers first and foremost consider themselves students; and our collective experience shows us that regular practice of yoga is vital to physical health, emotional wellbeing, and spiritual connectedness.

With three beautiful spaces, a diverse menu of class styles and levels, we welcome all humans to practice with us.
