Our cruelty free soaps are made from scratch using the cold process method; we use only certified food grade vegan oils and butters. Essential oils are used in many of our products, not just for the pleasant scent but also for the array of benefits. I use fragrance oils on occasion as customers request scents that are not distillable naturally. No synthetic dyes are used in our soaps, for color te
a, coffee, milk, herb infused oils, or clays are used. What is the cold process method you might ask, well, the cold process method means soap is made by using combination of oils and lye (sodium hydroxide). I know lye sounds “scary”, but all the harsh qualities of the lye are removed during the saponification process (which is the chemical reaction in which soap is made). When the lye interacts with the oils or fats, it also creates glycerin which most commercial soap manufacturers remove and sell to other companies who use it to make lotions and moisturizers; in-fact most commercial “soaps” aren’t really soaps at all they are chemical riddled detergents that dry your skin, they are “detergents” therefore by law these companies are not allowed to put the word “soap” on their products. Next time you are at a supermarket or pharmacy and do a little market research for yourself, I think you will be rather surprised. Be good to your body and use Mish’s Naturally made products. They gently cleanse and nourish your body without stripping your skin of natural oils, plus you have the peace of mind knowing what is going onto/into your body.
