Mario Lucca, D.M.D.
Dr. Mario Lucca is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and has been practicing dentistry in Massachusetts for over 15 years. He has extensive training and experience in advanced surgical procedures including placement of dental implants, wisdom teeth removal and bone grafting procedures. Dr. Lucca received his D.M.D from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2002. After completing a post-graduate internship in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery in 2003, he was appointed a clinical faculty position at Tufts University. He provided private practice general dentistry in the greater Boston area for 3 years prior to starting his surgical residency in 2006. Dr. Lucca’s first hand experience as a general dentist has afforded him the unique ability as a specialist to communicate effortlessly with your referring doctor to contribute best to your oral health needs and long-term satisfaction. Dr. Lucca received his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2010. His general surgery and anesthesia training was completed with rotations at Tufts Medical Center, Wi******er Hospital and Lemuel Shattuck Hospital. He received the Dr. Kenneth M. Stern Endowed Scholarship Award for clinical excellence and high ethical standards in 2010. Dr. Lucca has made multiple literary contributions with publications in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Journal of the Massachusetts Dental Society. In addition he’s been an honored lecturer at multiple professional seminars and meetings and in 2017 was voted by his peers to be among the Top Dentists in Boston in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Lucca is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Massachusetts Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Lucca achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2012. It is Dr. Lucca’s mission to provide a safe and comfortable environment for care, while maintaining open lines of communication with you and your referring doctor for solutions pertaining to your overall oral health and well-being.
