Mount Pleasant Home was honored to be in the Boston Pride Parade today! 5 residents on the trolleys and our van were absolutely blown AWAY by the crowd! 🌈❤️

It’s been a while, but we’re doing it again! Hosting a “SENIOR” Prom for our 60 residents on June 1!

We are looking for donations of fun formal wear! Gowns, dresses, tuxes, cummerbunds, bow ties, shoes, jewelry, etc.!

If you have things taking space in your closet that our residents might like to dress up in, we would LOVE your donations!

We are also looking for a florist (even a grocery store florist) to help with corsages and boutonnières!

Mount Pleasant Home has an immediate opening for a part-time Administrative Assistant in Jamaica Plain, MA. Do you have excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others? Are you looking for a part-time job with a flexible schedule? Then this opportunity is for you! We are a busy and thriving rest home that serves a diverse population of Boston residents. We are looking for candidates that must have an interest in supporting older adults as well as computer skills. We value creative and engaged people who want to positively influence the quality of our resident's lives.

Job Details: Part-Time Administrative Assistant
Schedule: Part-Time and As Needed (Exact days and hours TBD, but include and are not limited to 8-10 hours weekly and one weekend a month. Shifts cover hours on Monday-Sunday between 7am-8pm. The position is roughly 70 hours a month plus the ability to pick up extra shifts.

Job Description:
• Greets visitors and manages sign in
• Maintains/enforces all COVID-19 safety screening protocols
• Answering phones in a pleasant manner and routes calls to appropriate departments and/or personnel
• Light clerical work
• Signs for incoming packages and notifies staff upon receipt of deliveries and other mail duties, as needed
• Creates temporary signage
• Responds to emails specific to Front Desk
• Serves as point of contact for residents throughout the day
• Maintain confidentiality and security for residents living in the building, both on the phone and with visitors and staff
• Complete cash transactions from a closely monitored cash box
• Assist management with resident services such as activities setup and other special projects

Job Requirements Part-Time Administrative Assistant:
• Computer skills – including Microsoft Office Suite and comfort level with learning new software
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed – including but not limited to 8-10 hours weekly and one weekend a month
• Strong communication skills
• Customer Service skills directed towards both visitors and residents
• Compassion for the elderly population
• Reliable and responsive

Compensation:
$16.00/Hour
