Meet Our Instructors: Giordana Gallo

From Italy, Giordana is a former professional ballet dancer. She began at La Scala Academy in Milan and graduated from the Royal Ballet School of London. She performed worldwide and spent seven years with the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen.

Her passion for Pilates started for training and recovery. Now, she loves working with the body and understanding its complexities. She is dedicated to supporting clients on their journeys.

Q: What inspired you to start Classical Pilates?
My introduction began at La Scala Academy, within classical ballet. What started to support performance became a system to understand the body. It remained throughout my professional dance career and into teaching today.

Q: Why Boston?
We moved to Boston two years ago for work and it has become a meaningful chapter for our family. I became a mother and grown to love this city. I’ve found a Pilates community here that is inspiring as I continue to grow as an instructor.

Q: How would you describe your teaching style?
My style is rooted in my classical ballet background, but delivered in a warm and supportive way. I like to challenge my clients to go beyond while maintaining attention to detail. My goal is to create lasting progress in strength and awareness.

Q: How has Pilates changed the way you think about movement or wellness?
I learned true strength is about control, precision, and moving intelligently. It changed how I approach life, bringing awareness into how I move and take care of myself. I guide clients through mindful practice where progress comes from quality and consistency.

Q: What is your favorite Pilates exercise and why?
My favorites are the Short Spine Massage and the Teaser. They challenge the body—requiring control, precision, and flow. For me, they represent what Classical Pilates is: strength, coordination, and elegance working together.

Q: Outside of Pilates, what are some of your hobbies?
My happiest moments are with my family. I feel recharged near the sea, and I love traveling. Movement has always been a part of my life, but so has exploring the world around me.

At Endurance Pilates & Yoga, we’re offering a complimentary class to support your post-race recovery — available for you to use at a time that feels right for your body.

After 26.2 miles, recovery is just as important as the race itself. Our approach focuses on thoughtful, guided movement to help restore balance, release tension, and support long-term strength.

More isn't always better — especially in your workouts.
Research shows that training to failure can drain your nervous system and actually slow your gains. The sweet spot? Leaving a few reps in reserve and prioritizing recovery.
That's the Endurance Pilates & Yoga philosophy — and it works.

What We Want Every New Student to Know 🤍

Starting something new can feel uncertain. It’s easy to think you need to be more flexible, stronger, or more “ready” before walking through the door.

But that’s not how Pilates works.

At Endurance, we believe movement should meet you where you are — not where you think you should be. This is a practice built on learning, patience, and developing a deeper understanding of your body over time.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to begin.

Save this for later, or share it with someone who’s been thinking about trying Pilates.

Pilates Mat + Healing Meditation

A practice designed not just to strengthen the body—but to restore the system as a whole. We begin with classical Pilates mat work: precise, controlled, and deeply intentional. From there, we shift into guided meditation—creating space for the nervous system to settle, reset, and recalibrate.

This is where strength and stillness meet. Where effort is balanced with ease.

For those who are looking for more than just a workout—this is your practice.

Now on the schedule starting this Sunday!

Building foundations 🤍

With decades of experience in Classical Pilates, Julie guides each session with intention, precision, and a deep understanding of how the body learns and moves.

For those who are new to Pilates, the focus is not on doing everything perfectly right away, but on learning the method, understanding the purpose behind each movement, and building a strong foundation over time.

At Endurance, we believe Pilates should feel educational, supportive, and personal — a place where you can learn, ask questions, and develop a deeper awareness of your body.

Movement that supports you at every stage 🤍

One of the most powerful aspects of classical Pilates is its ability to adapt — whether you’re just beginning, staying active, or looking to move with more care and intention.

From improving strength and posture to supporting mobility and mental clarity, Pilates offers a sustainable approach to movement that evolves with you.

We believe movement should feel supportive, not overwhelming.
