The Winter Solstice is upon us-the darkest night of the year! Let us bring light into the darkness with this poem:

Solstice Light

In the longest night’s deep quiet,
when the sun seems far and thin,
a single flame remembers
where the dawn has always been.

Shadows fold around the edges,
winter’s breath is sharp and slow,
yet even here, a whisper gathers—
a pulse beneath the snow.

For darkness never holds forever,
nor silence keep its throne;
the smallest lantern lifted
can turn the night to home.

So bring your light into the stillness,
your ember, candle, spark—
for hope is born in places
