Last week BEJI graduated 18 young people, ages 16-24 from our pilot program, The Marcus Hall Civic Engagement Academy. These young folks were excited about attending our academy. We are starting our next class in September. To find out about the program, go to bejii.org/Marcus Hall Civic Engagement Academy. Some of our graduates will be working with BEJI this summer as we take over MAMLEO at 61 Columbia Road. Dorchester, MA for the summer providing Movie Nights, Game Night, Open Mic night and Paint night. Every Saturday we will have vendors selling theirs products. It is going to be a nice summer. This Saturday from 4-6pm, the Black Boston Covid-19 Coalition and the Black Directors’ Network are partnering together to put together a special community townhall and the covid-19 vaccine and what it means for black folks in the city.

The town hall will feature three amazing panelists:
