CONGRATULATIONS are in major order for !!!! She defended her dissertation this afternoon as is officially Dr. Reed!!!! We're so proud of you, Anne!!!

Anne also celebrated a milestone birthday yesterday! I won't tell you which one, but here's a hint, she can KICK and she KICKED that dissertation in the butt!!

So many thanks to her co-mentor Dr. Hugh Catts, and her committee, Drs. Lakeisha Johnson, Erin Bush, and Laura Steacy.

Here I come, New Jersey! I have three presentations at this week's New Jersey Speech, Language, Hearing Association Convention.
I *love* our state associations. They are an intregal part of our clinical work and deeply serve our profession through advocacy. I've been a member in all 5 states that I've lived in, served on many executive boards, volunteered hundreds of hours, planned dozens of conventions and professional development events, and have organized advocacy efforts. My heart is in our field's state associations and I love visiting other states. Thank you for inviting me, NJSHA - see you soon!

We're recruiting SLPs, SLPAs, paraeducators, and teachers for our shared book reading professional development study! Participants must work with children ages 3-8 and can live anywhere in the US. Last evening was so special!!! I hosted a lab party to celebrate all of our 2024 accomplishments and to set some goals and plans for 2025. I'm so thankful to the people pictured here and the many other wonderful students who couldn't make it. As I shared in my "state of the lab" address, YOU are the lab. Without you, none of this important work would be possible.

One of the accomplishments I shared was reaching the 20k follower milestone here. It is not inconsequential to me to acknowledge followers because it's deeply more than a count to me. By being here and supporting the mission of our work, you've changed my life in a literal way. Some of the people I text with nearly daily are friends I made right here on the Gram. Some of my proudest accomplishments are a result of partnerships created here. I wish I could have you all over for some bubbly and snacks. Thank you 💚💜
