This marathon season I’m proud to once again offer Competition Prep & Recovery Sessions at a special rate (New Patient fee waived) for friends of the practice in town to run any of the races over the weekend.
Race Prep sessions are often focused on “flushing” or light soft tissue work to target problem areas, while avoiding soreness on race day. These are quick sessions meant to shake out any travel related complaints and provide the athlete with any evaluation or advice they may need before they run.
Recovery sessions can help restore mobility and address any complaints that may have arisen during the event. Rest is always a priority for athletes after a huge milestone race like the Boston Marathon. A quick evaluation or tune up can help a runner solidify their return to training timeline and future race goals.
