Ovarian cancer occurs when the cells in the ovaries – female reproductive organs that produce eggs and certain hormones – grow and multiply abnormally. Roughly 1 in 70 women will be diagnosed with this type of cancer in their lifetime.

Symptoms may be subtle or easily mistaken for other common health issues. Talk to your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms so they can determine the root cause.

Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration of resilience, tradition and community. It’s also an opportunity to highlight the meaningful work being done every day to support families and improve access to care.

Through The MolinaCares Accord, we are honored to stand alongside organizations nationwide — whether providing bilingual maternal health services, creating opportunities for young leaders or expanding access to essential resources. These stories remind us of the power of partnership in building a healthier future for all.

Sickle cell disease causes red blood cells to form a “C” or sickle shape, making it harder for them to carry oxygen and flow through the body.

This can lead to serious health challenges — but with early diagnosis, proper care and community support, people with sickle cell disease can live longer, healthier lives.

This National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, we encourage you to learn more, share resources and help raise awareness in your community.

Molina Healthcare of Washington wrapped up its 25-stop tour of the Molina MyHealth Mobile Unit, which began in April in celebration of the health plan’s 25 years of service to the people of Washington. The mobile unit participated in community events and activities with partnering organizations across the state. Molina representatives were on hand with health education information, community resources and giveaways at each location. The tour began with stops in Olympia, Aberdeen, Centralia, and Lakewood.

The latest stops included a recent event in Pierce County. At the event, held in partnership with the Multicultural Child & Family Hope Center, Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, The Bessler Center with Mary Bridge Children’s, and Lindquist Dental Clinic, Molina’s mobile unit played a pivotal role in providing 15 well-child checks, administering 45 child vaccines, and conducting 25 dental screenings. In addition, 50 backpacks were distributed, and haircuts were provided to help kids prepare for the school year ahead.
