Partnerships as a Value:
At APPLE Consulting, we believe that partnerships are essential to our success. We value collaboration and recognize that working together with others leads to better outcomes for everyone involved. This is why we make it a priority to establish partnerships both within our company and with outside providers.
Partnerships Within:
Within our company, we encourage teamwork and collaboration. Our staff members work together to share knowledge and expertise, which helps us to provide the best possible services to our clients. We also believe in creating a supportive and inclusive work environment, where everyone feels valued and appreciated.
Outside Partnerships:
In addition to partnerships within our company, we also partner with outside providers such as speech language pathologists (SLPs) and occupational therapists (OTs). These partnerships allow us to offer a wider range of services to our clients, and to provide more specialized care when needed. By working together with these providers, we are able to ensure that our clients receive the best possible care and support.
Family Partnerships
At APPLE Consulting, we understand that families play a crucial role in the success of our clients. This is why we place a strong emphasis on building partnerships with families. We believe that families are the experts on their children, and that by working together with them, we can create the best possible outcomes for our clients.

We believe in taking a positive approach to intervention, which means focusing on the strengths and abilities of our clients. We understand that every individual has unique qualities and strengths that can be harnessed to overcome challenges.
When working with our clients, we use positive words and actions to encourage and motivate them. We believe that positivity can be contagious and can help create a supportive environment for growth and change.
Our team of professionals is trained to use positive language and actions when working with clients. We avoid negative or judgmental language and instead focus on the strengths and potential of our clients. This approach helps build trust and rapport with our clients, which is essential for effective intervention.
We also believe in celebrating small victories and progress along the way. By acknowledging and celebrating our clients' successes, we help build their confidence and self-esteem. This positivity can help them stay motivated and continue to work towards their goals.

Today we are talking about our first value ASSENT.
At APPLE Consulting, we believe in the importance of informed consent, especially when it comes to working with children. However, we also understand that children may not have the same level of understanding as adults when it comes to giving consent. That's why we emphasize the concept of "assent" when working with minors.
Assent refers to a child's agreement to participate in a decision or activity, based on their level of understanding and maturity. It's important to note that assent is not the same as consent, which is given by an adult who has the legal authority to do so. Instead, assent is a way for children to express their own preferences and opinions, and have those taken into account when making decisions that affect them.
Assent is a critical component of our approach to working with neurodiverse children. It involves actively seeking out and respecting the child's perspective and preferences, and involving them in the decision-making process whenever possible. This helps to build trust and rapport with the child, and ensures that they feel valued and respected throughout their journey with us.

✨ Celebrating 20 Years of APPLE Consulting! ✨

From a one-person operation to a thriving company dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized autism services, APPLE Consulting has come a long way. Here’s a look back at some key milestones over the past two decades:

📍 2005 – Founded APPLE Consulting as a sole proprietorship, serving public schools in Washington State and Central California.
➤ Originally, APPLE stood for Autism Partnership for Public Learning & Education.

📍 2006 – Hired our first behavior technicians, expanding into in-home services.

📍 2007 – Brought on board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) to support our growing client base.

📍 2008 – Opened our first administrative office in Redmond, WA.

📍 2011 – Moved to a larger office in downtown Bellevue to accommodate growth.

📍 2014 – Relocated to Northup Way, Bellevue.

📍 2015 – Established a new office across from Overlake Hospital in Bellevue.

📍 2017 – Opened our first comprehensive service clinic in Bothell, WA, a 7,000 sq. ft. space.

📍 2018 – Expanded both our administrative offices and clinic in Bothell.
➤ Achieved our first Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE) accreditation.
➤ Added 4,000 sq. ft. to the clinic, including a gross motor room.

📍 2020 – Adapted to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
➤ Pivoted to telehealth services to support parents remotely.
➤ Expanded our clinic by an additional 4,000 sq. ft. to meet social distancing requirements.
➤ Earned our second BHCOE accreditation.

📍 2022 – Deepened our commitment to PFA/SBT (Practical Functional Assessment & Skills-Based Treatment).
➤ Started our first credentialing cohort with FTF Behavioral Consulting.
➤ Dr. Allison Lowy Apple and 4 other staff BCBAs achieved Level 4 credentialing in PFA/SBT.

📍 2023 – Focused on expert collaboration and facility improvements.
➤ Hosted Dr. Greg Hanley, the pioneer of PFA/SBT, for three days of workshops and case reviews at our clinic.
➤ Began remodeling our 14,000 sq. ft. clinic to enhance services.
➤ New additions include an updated gross motor room, SBT room, and a secure, connected lobby.
➤ Ran through 3 more cohorts for SBT credentialing. Dr. Apple and Assistant Director, Carolyn Hinnant became Level 6 credentialed in SBT.

📍 2025 – Celebrating 20 years of APPLE Consulting! 🎉
➤ Today, we are proud to have 15 Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and 40 behavior technicians dedicated to empowering individuals with autism.
