I’ve been dreaming of this session upgrade for a few years. I’m now able to expand all my Vibrational Sound Therapy sessions with tuned gongs to complement and balance the singing bowls and dril-bu (Tibetan bell).

While both instruments have a balance of masculine and feminine energies, the gongs tend to have more masculine, and the singing bowls, more feminine. I’m tickled to offer a balance of both with this new set-up. It’s going to make for an incredible sound therapy experience, unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere.

Have you ever seen a singing bowl give off its own heat before?? Neither had we! This was back in 2020. My Dad noticed a significant amount of heat coming off a singing bowl. So, being the science-driven individuals we are, he and I set out to try to discern the source. I have witnessed some surprising "activity" around these instruments. This is just another story, but with [anecdotal] data!

Have you ever wondered how professional percussionists choose their mallets for a concert? Join me on a nerdy BTS look at my process for selecting mallets.

🚨 Spoiler alert: I use the same process for my GONG and sound bath meditations!

My general philosophy is to have one primary, gorgeous instrument as a canvas. The mallets I choose create then "sonic colors" we hear.
