Your herbs can do amazing things but even the best remedies have an expiration date. Knowing how long they last keeps your medicine cabinet fresh, safe, and effective.

Some, like tinctures and elixirs, can outlive your houseplants (5+ years!). Others, like teas and decoctions, are more like fresh food enjoy within a day or two.

Infused oils will thank you for a cool, dark spot, honeys keep sweet for about a year, and oxymels can stick around for 1–2 years without complaint. Hydrosols? Treat them like fresh floral water chill them and use within the year.

 Always label with the name, ingredients, and date so “mystery jar roulette” isn’t part of your wellness routine.
