As we travel this big, beautiful world, it seems as though everywhere we venture, there exists a deeply-rooted theme shared amongst all the souls we meet: each person is on their own version of the journey to find home. Nomadic people understand this well, and we’ve met many fellow adventurers who have teamed up with a couple people to take on this journey together.
When someone walks into their place of restl, they are able to take a sigh of relief as they say, “Ah, I am home.” When we take a moment to look deeply into what this statement means, we can see clearly that home is not found in the material realm. We see that “I am home” truly means that “home” is found, or rather remembered, within the heart of each being. A person’s true home is found within their inner world. After all, this is the only space that a person truly has the ability to create completely for themselves.
The external world around us is unpredictable and for the most part, out of our control. Yet, how much of our daily lives are spent attempting to control it? It can be challenging to keep the inner world of our heart space and mind at peace when the world around us is so fast-paced and filled with a never ending list of the to-do’s of the day. To find a moment with absolutely nothing to do, nobody to show up for except ourselves, and complete freedom to just be as we are with no outside influence, is quite rare -- yet this is a precious and widely sought after experience.
We believe in the power of cultivating home together by creating spaces where we can return to feeling safety, peace, clarity, and Love. These ceremonial spaces offer the room to peel back the layers and feel our true heart space. What does it feel like to be in my body? Is it uncomfortable to sit with myself? What is that ‘ole voice in my head saying to me to distract me from facing myself? Do I feel happy to be alive? Do I feel at peace with the world around me? Am I fully surrendered to this moment, and to all the moments that have unfolded in my recent life? Am I connected with intention, or am I distracted? The opportunity to sit with oneself in surrender, without any responsibility or to do list, is one of life’s greatest gifts and our soul’s greatest blessing. In ceremony, we ask for the guidance of sacred medicines given to us from the earth, to guide us through the experience of connecting to our hearts. One such medicine, Cacao, is a heart opening elixir that comes from the cocoa bean and aids us by giving us the gift of presence during these experiences. In the sacred space of ceremony, we co-create a safe space for all beings to go through their own process of experiencing that which is their home. For myself personally, I can often find many reasons in my daily life to avoid feeling and experiencing this place of home. I sometimes distract myself with stimuli in the outer world. Ceremony is a distraction-free opportunity for me to experience myself deeply, and learn from that which I see and feel.
Heartsong was catalyzed from the profound healing that my beloved and I were able to step into through hours and hours of our own ceremony. We gave ourselves ceremonial space so that we could heal ourselves, and the love that emerged was something we wished to share. All that we do, all that we are creating is for this: to give others the space to deeply feel into the essence of themselves. Our deepest prayer is to be able to share these spaces with the incredible beings that are around us.
It’s a beautiful journey to take alone, but it’s especially beautiful when we walk alongside tribe. Our tribe is here to remember the beauty of our inner worlds, and also allowing that beauty to pour out of us in that which we create in our outer worlds. What would it be like to create a beautiful world, together? We invite and welcome each and every soul reading this to join us in magnificent co-creation.
We love you.
