Living Raw Food Village Suggest this page to Your friends! Thank YOU! The source of ultimate health, wellness, vitality, healing and energy to be your best!

Always Organic-whenever possible Living and Raw Food Village desire is for everyone to be free from disease and to teach people how to have hope and regain their health and vitality. We have great respect for the work that the Ann Wigmore Institute (Puerto Rico) does. We're especially, grateful to Lalita Salas and Leola Brooks (trained directly by Ann Wigmore) for all their wisdom, classes and unconditional love. Much of this site is from their teachings and inspiration. A living raw food diet is not a magic pill, as you will learn, it will become a way of life. It’s part of a holistic approach to experiencing your whole being’s wellness, which takes time to learn and incorporate into your life. Though you may experience many positive changes right away, you may have to thoroughly cleanse and heal your body’s digestion, elimination and immune systems before you fully experience all the benefits of raw food -- and you may feel worse or weaker at first while your body cleanses decades of toxins, excess fat and dis-ease. In most cases, this is perfectly normal and is even a good thing!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO EAT THIS AMAZING SALAD?
Salad for LIFE! Here's to your health!
***Get Ingredients
1 bunch of Kale (any type, red, purple, dinosaur)
1 bunch of Collard Greens
1 stalk of Bok Choy (big one/not baby or 5-6 babies)
1/2 head Red Cabbage
1 bunch of Parsley (I use 2)
1 bunch of Cilantro (I use 2)
(OPTIONAL) 1 bunch of fresh Dill added to each individual salad (not the mix for the drawer)
(the above is your staple and you will add to this as you desire)
***Any sprouts you like, get a container or 2 from the produce section as long as they are "living" or sprout your own and use them! (don't add these sprouts to the salad mix) If you add sprouts to the mixture of greens above, they are not as hardy and may go bad sooner.
***Make sure the sprouts are included in every salad you eat with your "extras", this is what makes it a "living" salad!
***Soak and Rinse All Greens
***Spin in Salad Spinner to Dry or use towel-lay greens on it and roll up and pat dry. I use beach towels on my kitchen counters and lay all greens on the towel and cover with another beach towel. I roll them up and then I tap, tap, tap, on the counter in an effort to pat all the water out of the leaves. Kale can be curly and hide water, then I just towel dry those hard to get areas with a towel wrapped around my finger.
***Chop up into comfortable bit size for you. There is a lot of chopping involved, if you can have someone help you chop, it really helps! 😀
***I have one entire drawer of the refrigerator designated for my salad. I simply put everything in there and store it-it will last for about a week and feed 2-3 people. I use the vegetable drawer as shown in the picture. You may add paper towels to soak up moisture/make sure to remove them too or replace with fresh towels when damp.
***Use tongs -take 2 giant handfuls of salad add a tablespoon or 2 of the following:
(I cut up and have readily available in containers to make adding them to my salad easy!)
peppers,
cucumber,
celery,
broccoli,
carrots,
onion,
chives,
avocado,
tomatoes,
olives, etc... (a few for flavor are ok, I don't encourage "brine' products-but if that's what you need to eat this healthy Salad for Life! Go for it!)
***soaked overnight in water raw nuts and seeds: (this allows them to break down easily and assimilate nutritionally for ultimate health benefits) Otherwise, most nuts simply pass through your system without the nutrients being absorbed-that's a waste!)
raw almonds,
sunflower seeds,
pumpkin seeds,
sesame seeds...
whatever else you enjoy...make sure it is all raw/fresh/uncooked foods (Veggie of course)
***Add at least a 1/2 cup of living, raw sprouts, whichever type you desire to start off...this provides the body with live enzymes and living force energy from chlorophyll. This is what helps heal your body, chlorophyll and the live enzymes, as well as, providing the best nutrients possible-which commences in the sprouted "life force" (which is the beginning of the entire plant-so much life force energy-thus, all the nutrients for health and healing).
Toss w/ your favorite dressing in moderation, ENJOY!
