The three tenets of yin:
1. Come into each shape to an appropriate edge - non-aggressively.
2. Become still and muscularly soft. Allow gravity to have you.
3. Hold each pose for a few minutes to fully nourish the meridians.

My Yoga Journey

I began practicing yoga regularly as a stressed-out graduate student in 2010 and completed the 200-hour teacher training through Southern Star Yoga in Oxford, MS in May 2018. The practice transformed me physically and on a deeper level, helping me develop greater awareness of my body and mind, compassion towards myself and others, and understanding of my values and how to live by them more fully. In addition, yoga gave me tools to deal with anxiety and depression. My mission is to make yoga accessible to a range of skill levels and encourage students to take their practice beyond the mat.
