So much growing, even in the early winter here at over 7000 feet elevation.
Rocky Mountain Permaculture Institute is one of the oldest continuously operating permaculture teaching sites in the US.
The drive up behind the town of is not for the faint of heart— winding blind switchbacks lead to a hidden gem perched precariously above a cliff —all showing trails dotted with greenhouses and plantings, fruit guilds and water barrels.
Relying only on solar power and a big dose of DIY, its a real example of working in harmony with nature to live a sustainable lifestyle—
Founder Jerome Osentowski wasn’t there when we landed but farmers there warmly welcomed us to take our time and tour.
