In the past, strict rest following a concussion was widely recommended, and patients were advised to avoid activities such as school, work, and exercise until they were symptom-free.

Current research shows that this approach is not beneficial and may even be harmful. Gradual return to normal activities, under medical supervision, can promote better recovery outcomes. 📈
