Rethinking Cleanses: Embrace Simplicity and Your Body's Natural Detox Power
Not a fan of "cleanses." I've done many, from Zen Cleanse to Cellcore, Purium, Master Cleanse, juice cleanse—you name it. Through my experience, the most effective approach for resetting the body isn't a cleanse; it's fasting. Whether water fasting for prolonged periods or intermittent fasting, fasting offers profound benefits that go beyond what typical cleanses can achieve.
Why I Prefer Fasting Over Cleanses:
Many people are already overwhelmed when they start a cleanse. Often, the cleanse only adds to this overwhelm—emotionally and physically. Cleanses can sometimes stir up too many toxins in the body too quickly, which can feel like too much. Think about it: many are already dealing with stress from life, excessive stimulation, chemicals in our environment, EMFs—all of which translate to toxins accumulating in the body. Adding a cleanse to the mix can push the body to the brink.
So, what's the best way to support the body in detoxifying?
Say Goodbye to Most Binders and Supplements.
Experience simplicity and the incredible power of your body’s natural healing and detoxification. Instead of loading up on binders, supplements, or fad cleanses that promise the world, try going back to basics. Using food as medicine or even taking a break from food entirely through water fasting is one of the most straightforward and effective methods. It allows for spaciousness—a break from the overwhelm—while giving the body time to process and reset.
What is Water Fasting Really About?
Water fasting isn't just about not eating; it's about creating a space to reconnect with yourself. This practice allows the body to focus on deep cellular cleanup (autophagy), balance the gut microbiome, and tap into the body’s innate healing mechanisms, like increasing stem cell production. Mineral balance isn't the primary goal of fasting; that's more about maintaining a diet rich in mineral-dense foods and supplements like sea salt, Redmond's salt, and Oceanic Marine Plasma. During water fasting, additional support like IV therapy or supplements such as Glutathione can assist the body in managing toxin circulation (message me for details).
Avoid Diet Cults and Fads
I'm all about returning to ancestral living in the modern world and avoiding diet cults and fads like veganism, keto, or carnivore. Eating right for your type, the season you're in, and your unique physiological needs is key. When your daily routines are sustainable, you won't need to "cleanse" because your body is naturally in a state of balance.
By fasting, you’re not only giving your digestive system a break but also allowing yourself to tune back into your inner self. Returning to a simpler, more sustainable way of living aligns with our natural rhythm. Ditch the diet fads and cleanse trends; embrace a more natural path to health and wellness. This way, you give yourself space to recall what works and what doesn't work for you and tap into the innate wisdom of your body.
Remember, water fasting is a natural, ancestral method that has been around for thousands of years. It's something our bodies respond to naturally, even if it doesn’t seem to fit into the modern world’s culture of constant consumption. Water fasting is more than just a method; it's an opportunity for deep reset and self-discovery.
