💗Pulse Diagnosis 👨🏻‍⚕️
When coming in for acupuncture, one of the first things I do as an acupuncturist is lay my fingertips on a person’s pulse. What I am feeling for is a combination of the quality, rhythm, and strength of the pulses at different positions on the wrist. Each position corresponds with a different organ system in Chinese medicine and reveals a unique story about the individual’s constitution. 

If the pulse feels more towards the surface of the body- then a person may be about to get sick. A fast pulse accompanied by a tight sensation- then they might have anxiety or insomnia. A weak pulse, on the right side, in the middle position- a person could have digestive issues. 

Pulse diagnosis takes years to master, though it’s an essential skill for creating an effective treatment plan for both acupuncture and Chinese herbalism.

Hey there! I’m thrilled to introduce you to the brains and brawn behind Boulder Dynamic Acupuncture, Brooks Davis LA.c

Brooks received his Masters of Acupuncture with a Specialization in Chinese herbalism from Southwest Acupuncture College where he completed 4 years of training, including over 800 hours of supervised clinical rotations. He is a board certified with the National Certification Commission of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and is licensed in the state of Colorado

He’s an honorary Colorado native, having moved here at the age of 4 from Georgia, and has called Boulder home for the past 5 years. When he’s not poking people, you can find him out biking through the mountains in the summer, or spending time at authentic relating events in the colder months.

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

After four years of Grad School for Chinese Medicine and with my prior experience as a massage therapist and western herbalist, I'm launching Boulder Dynamic Acupuncture!

Chinese medicine has played a pivotal role in transforming my health and well-being, especially after my car accident and while living with a disability. Acupuncture has worked wonders in relieving both the physical and emotional pains that come with using a wheelchair, while Chinese herbs have consistently aided in regulating my digestive system.

I'm genuinely excited to delve deeper into the realm of alternative medicine, merging all the knowledge I've gathered over the years, plus all of the inner work I’ve done pre- and post injury to support people.
