This is a must-see. We recently captured a wild digital motion X-ray on a patient who had been suffering for a long time after a crash—misdiagnosed or undiagnosed until now. Take a close look at how the upper cervical spine, right at the cranial cervical junction, actually moves.

This type of pathology is only visible in the mid-phase of motion and can only be detected by highly trained doctors using digital motion X-ray. At Katz Chiropractic, we’ve not only been using this advanced technology for over 20 years—we also published the largest research paper comparing injured vs. non-injured spines with DMX.

Now that we’ve analyzed and properly diagnosed what others missed, we can finally explain to this patient what’s wrong and begin providing the care she truly needs.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS FOR CHIROPRACTIC & CRASH INJURY CARE 🚗
Study Confirms MVCs Significantly Alter Cervical Curves — Chiropractic Care More Crucial Than Ever!
PROUD TO BE APART OF THIS GROUP TO PUBLISH THIS!
A retrospective case series of 41 patients across multiple centers has just confirmed what chiropractors have long suspected — motor vehicle collisions (MVCs) significantly distort the natural curve of the cervical spine.

✅ Findings show:

An average 8° loss of C2–C7 lordosis after a crash

Mid-cervical kyphosis and anterior head translation commonly develop

10% of cases reached segmental instability thresholds

Post-crash alignment closely resembled a second-order buckling effect, a dangerous mechanical failure in spinal geometry

🚧 These aren’t random changes — the study concludes that MVCs are a causative factor in abnormal cervical curvature and must be taken seriously in both diagnosis and rehab planning.

📢 What this means for chiropractors:
This study provides objective, radiographic evidence that crash forces can structurally deform the cervical spine. This isn’t just whiplash—it’s measurable spinal buckling that may require precise correction.

🎯 Future care for post-MVC patients must include curve analysis and possibly restoration as part of the rehabilitation process to prevent chronic pain and dysfunction.

💡 This is your moment to lead. If you’re a chiropractor treating crash patients, this data gives you the evidence to validate your corrective care protocols and demand a more informed, biomechanical approach to trauma rehab.

Proud to Be a Chiropractor

One of the many reasons I love being a chiropractor—on a long hike, my buddy started having pain. No table, no office, just the skills I’ve spent years learning. I was able to help him feel better and keep going.

Moments like that remind me why I do what I do. Helping someone improve their quality of life, even in the middle of nowhere, is one of the most rewarding parts of this profession. You adapt, you adjust, and you make a difference. That's chiropractic.

🧠 Stroke and Cervical Spine Alignment: The Missing Link?
A Chiropractic Perspective on Stroke Risk Reduction
A growing body of research, including a paper published in World Neurosurgery, is challenging old narratives about stroke and chiropractic care — and instead, pointing toward the protective role of spinal alignment, particularly in the neck.
🔬 The Key Finding:
The World Neurosurgery journal article reviewed by Dr. Evan Katz in this video seem to suggest that people with abnormal cervical spine alignment — especially reduced cervical lordosis (loss of the natural neck curve) — may be at greater risk of vertebrobasilar stroke.
👉 This flips the old myth on its head. Instead of fearmongering about chiropractic adjustments causing strokes, this research indicates that not addressing poor neck alignment might be the bigger danger.

Discover the Difference at Katz Chiropractic
Because How Your Spine Moves Matters

At Katz Chiropractic, we go beyond traditional static imaging. Why? Because spinal health isn’t just about what your neck looks like at the end range of motion—it’s about how it moves through every phase.

Hypomobility—or too little movement in the cervical spine—can be just as problematic as instability or hypermobility. When a joint doesn't move enough, it can’t get the proper nourishment it needs to stay healthy, which can lead to pain, stiffness, and long-term degeneration.

That’s why we use dynamic, movement-based assessments to evaluate the mid-range motion of your spine—not just what shows up at the extremes. By pinpointing areas of poor motion or instability, we tailor your care to restore healthy mobility, improve alignment, and help your spine function at its best.

At Katz Chiropractic, we don’t guess—we assess. And when we correct, we correct with purpose.

Experience chiropractic that’s precise, motion-focused, and truly corrective.
Your spine will thank you.

Chiropractors: Too “Controversial” for the Stand? Really?

Some PI lawyers have said to me, "I'm hesitant to put a chiropractor on the stand—I’m not sure how the public perceives you guys."
Meanwhile, those same lawyers are out here running TV ads like:
🚨"HURT? CALL US NOW! WE’LL SMASH THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND GET YOU PAID!"🚨
—with flames, tigers, and a bald eagle in the background.

So let me get this straight…
You're worried I might hurt the jury’s perception?

Listen, chiropractors use science, exams, imaging, and documentation to explain injury mechanisms and patient care.
We don’t yell into a camera wearing sunglasses at night.
We realign spines—not reality.

You want credibility on the stand?
Put someone up there who can back up their care with objective findings, research, and education—not just catchy slogans.

So yeah, the public might have questions about chiropractors...
But they’ve definitely got opinions about a guy in a suit yelling, “WE DON’T GET PAID UNLESS YOU GET PAID!” while riding a horse through flames.🤪🤣

A new patient presented following a recent car crash. Interestingly, years prior he had experienced a fall that led to mild neck tightness. Imaging at that time revealed some bone spurs, but he had zero neurological findings and no significant pain or dysfunction—just minor stiffness.

Despite the absence of clinical symptoms, a surgeon recommended spinal surgery to “clean it out” preventatively, in case he were to experience trauma in the future. Somehow, this was considered acceptable preemptive care.

Yet this raises a critical point: If preventative spinal surgery is deemed reasonable, why is corrective chiropractic care—which is conservative, non-invasive, and aimed at improving structure and function—so often dismissed or undervalued?

Unfortunately, after undergoing surgery, this patient reported severe, persistent pain, a significant departure from the mild tightness he originally had.

This case highlights the importance of conservative care first, especially in asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic individuals. Chiropractic care offers a structural, functional, and preventative approach without the risks and complications of surgery. It's time the healthcare system recognized chiropractic as the true frontline option for spinal health and long-term outcomes.
