We are deeply grateful for this beautiful reflection. 🌿

It is moving to hear how the Master Ayurvedic Practitioner program supported not only professional growth, but personal transformation.

Our intention has always been that the study of Ayurveda be more than information alone — that it be a lived tradition, rooted in practice, relationship, and connection to a lineage of healing wisdom.

To hear that this journey inspired a deeper connection to the tradition, and a calling to share that knowledge with others, means so much.

Thank you for being part of this living lineage.

If you feel called to study Ayurveda in depth, our four-year Master Ayurvedic Practitioner program continues to welcome sincere students.

Long before modern psychology named patterns of compulsive behavior, traditional wisdom was already reflecting on the ways unchecked desire can affect the individual, the family, and society.

The conversation around gambling is not only about personal choice — it also raises deeper questions about regulation, ethics, responsibility, and human vulnerability.

Gambling is a hot topic in Colorado, with two bills coming before the State Senate to limit internet gaming, yet compulsive gambling is an age-old problem.

What are the symptoms of Gambling Disorder?
What is the Vedic view of gambling?
How did gambling contribute to a world-ending cataclysm?
How can Ayurveda help with recovery from Gambling Disorder?

Tune into Podcast Episode 98 on our YouTube channel for more information on these questions.

Rest is not always a luxury — sometimes it is part of learning.

Modern research continues to show that even brief periods of rest can support memory, integration, and mental clarity, renewing our capacity to take in new information.

This opens an interesting conversation with Ayurveda, where context matters. The tradition often cautions against excessive daytime sleeping, yet also recognizes that not all forms of rest are the same.
A short, intentional pause may be very different from dullness or oversleeping.

Sometimes what looks like “doing less” is actually creating the conditions to restore energy and sharpen awareness.

Balance, as always, lies in understanding when, how, and for whom something is beneficial.

In Ayurveda, everything can be understood through qualities.

Warm or cool.
Light or heavy.
Dry or oily.
Sharp or dull.

These are part of the 20 gunas — ten pairs of opposites that describe the nature of all things, including the food we eat and the way we live.

The key principle is simple:
like increases like, and opposites bring balance.
So when life feels dry, cold, or scattered, we can bring in warmth, softness, and nourishment. When things feel heavy or sluggish, we introduce lightness.

Even a single meal can become a way to restore balance — by combining complementary qualities.
Ayurveda invites us to live with this kind of awareness, where small, thoughtful choices create harmony over time.

In Ayurveda, honey is not simply a sweetener — it is considered a subtle and intelligent substance.
It carries qualities that go beyond taste, traditionally valued for its ability to support digestion, nourish the tissues, and enhance the effects of other herbs.

What makes honey unique is its balance — light yet nourishing, gentle yet active — making it suitable in many contexts when used properly.

Rather than adding sweetness alone, Ayurveda invites us to see honey as part of a broader relationship with food as medicine.

Like all substances in this tradition, its benefits depend on how, when, and in what form it is used.

There are times in life when we simply don’t have the capacity to reach out — even to those we love most.
Grief, loss, and emotional struggle can naturally lead to withdrawal, and it’s important to recognize that this is not disconnection… it’s part of the human experience.

In these moments, support often isn’t about waiting to be asked.
It’s about gently showing up — with care, with presence, and with simple, thoughtful actions that make connection easier.

A meal, a walk, a call, a quiet moment together.
These small gestures can carry more healing than we realize.

Doom scrolling isn’t just draining—it may be impacting your health more than you think.
According to Ayurveda, true wellness isn’t only about what we eat or how we move… it’s also about what we consume mentally.

The practice of Sadvritta—right conduct—teaches us to guard our thoughts, our words, and the energy we engage with daily. Constant exposure to negativity, outrage, and noise can slowly pull us out of balance.

Instead, Ayurveda encourages us to stay grounded in kindness, clarity, and connection—while still holding deep compassion for the suffering in the world.

Your peace matters. What you take in matters.
Choose wisely. 🌿
