I got such a great compliment after teaching gentle yoga today.

It's Bring a Buddy to Drop-In classes week at the City of Boulder Parks and Rec!

My ongoing drop-in Gentle Yoga is back in the gorgeous senior ballroom at the East Boulder Community Center.

Please note the new time: 4:10 to 5:10 every week on Thursdays.

This hour-long gentle yoga class consists of pranayama (breathing exercises), warm-up exercises, yoga poses for strength, flexibility, coordination. and balance, and relaxation time at the end of class. Rooted in the traditional yoga tenets of unity of body, mind and breath, this class is for those want a gentle, meditative class. Throughout the hour, participants will be led to carefully explore, stretch, and strengthen the whole system.

Lori began practicing yoga in 2000 and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification during a yearlong residential program at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts in 2004. While a member of the Guest Yoga Team at Kripalu, she completed her 500-hour yoga certification and earned additional certifications in LifeForce Yoga for Depression and Anxiety, Chakra Yoga, Lakshmi Voekler Chair Yoga, and Meridian Yoga and trained with renowned yoga instructors from across the country. In 2017 she traveled to India to deepen her studies in the Kripalu Yoga lineage.
Kripalu yoga, known as the yoga of compassion, or meditation-in-motion, combines mindfully practiced physical postures with a focus breath and self-awareness. The resulting transformation overflows from the yoga mat into daily life.
Lori is also a licensed physical and massage therapist in private practice in South Boulder.
