For over four decades, I’ve helped people understand the hidden dynamics of narcissistic and domestic abuse — and, more importantly, how to heal from them.

Sometimes the veil between worlds grows thin.
You feel their presence in a whisper, a light flicker, a moment of peace that comes from nowhere.
These are love’s reminders — guiding you, softly, home to yourself. 🤍

When you live with abuse, you learn to tiptoe around danger — reading moods, anticipating explosions, losing yourself in the process.

But when that same dynamic extends to an adult child still bound by the abuser’s control, it becomes even more painful.

Healing begins when you stop walking on glass… and start reclaiming solid ground. 💜

That’s not sensitivity — it’s awareness.
Gaslighting your reality is a hallmark of emotional abuse, and recognizing it is the first step toward healing. 💜

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time when we pause to honor survivors, enhance awareness, raise our voices for change, and shine light on the path of healing.

As many of you know, my new book Being the Light: Everyday Meditation Enlightenment weaves together psychology, trauma healing, and the quiet wisdom of meditation. It carries the same spirit that has guided my work with survivors for over four decades.

Our Story

facebook.com/preventabusiverelationships is owned and managed by Partners in Prevention, a charitable organization committed to Domestic Abuse Intervention and Healing.

Partners in Prevention is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization committed to helping bridge healthcare delivery and domestic abuse victim advocacy. We are devoted to insuring that healthcare intervention and treatment for domestic violence survivors supports these patients in regaining their safety, health and well-being.

Our primary intervention program is the Intimate Partner Abuse Treatment Program which is a finely tuned domestic violence treatment protocol integrating a psychoeducational intervention promoting change for batterers, and a psychotherapeutic intervention facilitating healing for domestic abuse survivors.

We provide these services coast-to-coast remotely, and find both the delivery method and protocol to be quite effective in helping people create mutually respectful nonviolent communication in their relationships.
