🌑NEW MOON IN VIRGO 🌑
Tonight’s New Moon in Virgo has us clearing any debris that has cluttered our relational systems in an effort to buoy us into new patterning that better suits the life we are creating. We have been fast at work over the previous several weeks confronting the discomfort of an obstructed methodology that has long been needing a thorough review.

As Mercury moves out of its retrograde shadow, our conversation with the Divine flows a little freer, allowing the stagnancy we may have been perceiving but not necessarily KNOWing, to begin its righted path. And tonight we set our sights on a new dream, a new world, a new day!

How might we purify our patterning so that the results we need to move forward with our plans come into being? Let us do the necessary work of tending to the necessary elements without delay. For we are on a September journey toward the Pisces Eclipse with this month’s Full Moon and will need our wits about us as we enter the darkness of the Dreamworld. The harvest is here. Let us rejoice! Yes. And let us be grateful for our bounty: that which is abundant even when expectation and reality differ.

🌕 Solar eclipse in Aries ☀️

When your soul begins to know itself, through contemplative silences and life’s myriad of experiences; those that bring strife and wisdom and sorrow and joy, there is a natural process of forgetting. Of healing. Forgetting to please for the promise of love; Healing the heart that was always deserving.

You are holy; your sacredness intact. So offer up those social graces, those thought structures, the limiting beliefs and the ways in which conflict avoidance keeps a smile on other's faces but whittles yours down into a caricature of the real damn thing. Offer them up onto your altar of transformation, your altar of delight. And for Goddess' sake, do yourself a favor and invite in your authenticity. Create space for your sovereignty to be crowned. You are worthy of that and so, so much more.

🌘Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio🌒

Tomorrow, May 5, 2023 at 11:34 am MT the last eclipse in Scorpio occurs when the Moon arrives at 14’58 degrees, opposite the Ta**us Sun. The ‘what’ we have been working with since May of 2022 is coming to a rapid close as we turn the page of our internal apocalyptic story.

Scorpio is a sign that occurs in the Northern Hemisphere around the time when our Natural World tucks itself in for the long winter. It is the moment when the first frosts arrive with skeletal fingers, ushering death to all that bloomed and blossomed during the months of Spring and Summer. The abundant life that acts as annual smelling salts for humanity is peeled back revealing the inevitability of our own mortality, and suddenly our ancestors that we buried over generations are remembered. Out of the mists and fogs their once distant dreams and songs are our own in a perpetual canon of athanasia: Heaven on Earth.

The last two weeks have had us sitting with our own gangrenous constructs, as uncomfortable and harrowing as any we have felt over the last year. To track this internal decay, we must sit in the silence like that provided by a pre-winter’s storm, which can be difficult when the Earth is beckoning us to awaken with its dazzling greenery and beauty-blooms. But when we do sit in silence, when we MAKE the time for stillness in an otherwise buzzing modality, we will hear that ‘what’, that ‘thing’ which is dying within our own life: a dynamic, a behavior, a way of being, or relating to the world around us. Something beneath the surface is laboring for its last breath as Death comes to claim its final rite.

Several years ago a teacher of mine sat with me on the sacred ground and guided me through a passageway of fear after my own near death experience. With courage and with a companion, I learned that even when faced with death, I was held and nurtured by life. That in the moment when I surrendered to my body’s mortality, the trust in my soul, in the infinite possibilities of rebirth, was at its peak.

May we all be so blessed with the deep trust in the Cycle of Life, to release our control over what was or what should have been.
May we each surrender to these petit morts with wisdom, knowing full well that the law of the universe can only then bring about a Great Rebirth. May we do so with companionship of our trusted guides, conscious of the fact that we will receive the exact insight we seek at precisely the right moment.

Organizing ourselves around tomorrow’s final farewell, we may want to sit with the questions of not only what wants to be released, but also what is wanting to be born through us? Indeed, let us bring our attention to what is undoubtedly already sprouting out of us during these times of deep transformation.

Finally, to anoint our inner pilgrimages we may find we need some support. The following list may help with our rituals:

1. Drink plenty of water and herbal teas. Stay hydrated!
2. Bathe in hot herbal water or salts to open and to protect.
3. Rinse with a room temperature herbal infusion (rosemary, thyme, and basil work well) the morning after the eclipse to mark release and closure.
4. Write about what wants be released and burn in a fire safe receptacle OR sing your words of release into a flowing water source, or a glass of water then dump into the Earth.
5. Slow down. Rest.
6. Allow for safe moments of emotion to flow through your body. Your tears are Holy Water.
7. Allow yourself to create the necessary boundaries you need in order to process in your own time.
8. Be gentle with yourselves and with others.
9. Connect in safe space in your supportive relationships.

FULL MOON IN VIRGO//SATURN MOVES INTO PISCES

And so the dance of the dreamer begins. Just after the moon was at its fullest in the early dawn hours, Saturn, planet of boundaries, responsibilities, lessons and discipline moved into Pisces. For the next 2 1/2 years we will undergo an oceanic initiation into the depths of our mythic imagination.

Our dreams and visions are alive, sending us information from the numinous. The quality of our dreams (Pisces) is directly linked to the quality of our physical and psychic health (Virgo). Pisces encompasses the vast and endless psychic realms- it varies greatly between spiritual wisdom and levity, the worlds of fear and delusion, and everything between. The environment in which Pisces exists will dictate the form it takes. Virgo’s insistence on purification and attention to detail allows the dreamer to stay grounded during their astral travel. When one is not rooted into the Earth, one is easily lost amongst the details, and instead may venture into the lower vibration of trepidation, escapism and incubus. We can just as easily create our terror as we can our joy.

Saturn is here to hold us accountable for the dreams we individually and collectively dream. The extent to which we choose to take responsibility for ourselves as embodied souls enshrouded in co-creative life force, will either open us or close us to the deep connection that pure consciousness brings. What this full moon is highlighting are the crops we are consciously and indeed unconsciously choosing to tend to. This moon in Virgo reminds us that our bodies are our wisest guides, and that our hearts are our most effective barometers, particularly when we venture into the Realms of the Mystical and the Divine.

New Moon in Pisces

Last night’s new moon at 1 degree of Pisces conjunct Saturn (in the final degrees of Aquarius) represents both a practice in meditative intention as well as transformational new beginnings.

Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and one that encompasses the duality of the human/soul experience: It is the darkness and the light, the fear and the joy- it is here we meet the wholeness of God(dess). Pisces is a spiritual sign, but it is not one that gives itself to bypassing. Instead Pisces challenges us to sit with and tend to all that is broken. The very depths of our human experience is as much esteemed as the highest achievement. It is in this practice- learning to stay open and still amidst these extremes- that Pisces’ lessons are cultivated.

The function of the planet of conscious control (Saturn) and its coming ingress into the unconscious archetype of Pisces (from March7, 2023-May 24, 2025), is indeed to bring our awareness into our unconscious world: We are beginning to see how our INTENTION affects our REALITY.

Masaru Emoto’s vibrational water experiments are helpful as a guide for us all to understand the profound role our unconscious beliefs have on our realities. Our bodies, for example, are made of 60% water. What might we realize if we were to find the courage to sit still enough and listen to the thoughts and beliefs that constantly saturate our own waters? And do we know- really know- that our beliefs about the world, about ourselves, about our communities and their structures- are all in fact malleable, changeable, and indeed have an evolutionary desire to elevate and transform?

This is profound, to say the least, when we stop to consider the implications of such a deep practice. What stops us from undertaking this internal dive? What keeps us from sitting with the parts of ourselves- or the parts of our community- that represent the shadow? Are we able to gift ourselves sips of time to quietly contemplate how our life experience informs our realities, thereby, in fact, creating them? And what really do these unconscious aspects of ourselves need other than our compassion? Do you know the very vibrations you seek to align with are those beckoning you into this meditative state?

Blessings, water-going warriors. May you learn to allow all things to pass through you with grace. The definition of grace, by the way, is unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification; a virtue coming from God; and a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine assistance.

FULL MOON IN LEO

There are moments in life when we realize, due to mounting pressure felt directly within our psyches or experienced through outer circumstance and relationships, that change is necessary; that deviating from our preconceived path is actually the only way forward. As we have moved with the mounting energy of the full moon this past week, we may have experienced one of these scenarios and are now learning that this new direction is indeed necessary for our continuity. Whatever has been holding us back from fully expressing our authenticity is now up for review. We are acting as detached observers of outdated stimulii, so that our individual creativity and joy are free to live and breathe more fully under the Sun’s benevolent rays.

We each may have buried beneath various layers of lived experience, our unbridled and childlike joy, or the creative genius of a liberated soul. Each of us carries a unique gift that shines through our hearts; one we wish to share with the world. This is where the archetype of Leo lives within us whether or not we have any planets here in our natal charts. Our Sun signs point to the Lion and Lioness within us all, and beckon us in the direction of our heart’s calling.

After this week’s unexpected turn of events, it is no longer necessary for us to try and figure out or force our way into an alternate direction; rather the path resolutely reveals itself to us. As we courageously take our first steps onto this sudden switchback, it is as if each cell of our being has awakened out of a black and white dream into a world of technicolor. Our views of ourselves and our realities has unequivocally altered, and we no longer feel a reason to be tethered to the backwaters of self or socially imposed confinement. There is no going back- our vitality is simply too precious to keep chained.

So won’t you move deeper into your wild heart so as to live amongst the wider community in sovereign exuberance? Will you sing your individual Heart Song so that those around you can find and sing their Sacred Ballad too?

NEW MOON IN AQUARIUS ♒️

Today’s New Moon lands at 1 degree Aquarius, conjunct Pluto at 28 degrees Capricorn. While emotions may run high and egos may ruminate, what is actually going on beneath reality’s surface is Pluto’s transformational magic. There is a need for some quiet contemplation so that we can open to this alchemical process, or else we may find ourselves in unnecessary battles with whomever we consider “the other”. If we find ourselves in these outer entanglements however, we can simply call on the higher consciousness of Aquarius and allow the inner metamorphosis to begin its dissolution process.

Today can perhaps be considered a second initiatory phase of Pluto’s eventual March entrance into Aquarius (the first being December 2020’s Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn on the Winter Solstice). We are entering now the Age of Aquarius where technological advancement on a scale we have never seen is sure to generate a foothold on our collective modality. We have already been experiencing much Aquarian archetypal drama with Saturn’s square to Uranus (us versus them mentality) the past few years, and luckily that square is releasing its grip on the social scene. Hopefully what we have learned from that intense divide, is that when we break into tribal mentality- the Whole is Lost. When we seek freedom not only through a series of actions outside of ourselves, but also as a Spiritual Vessel, this is where true liberation lives and breathes; and indeed where we can integrate our own Radical Thought and Genius into the Great Organism of Life.

There has been so much talk about self-realization the past 50+ years; and while this conversation is worthwhile, for what evolutionary purpose does this serve if not to find our place within the larger human organism? Indeed, we are opening now into a new way of living, and while we do not know what will be birthed out of this process, the surest way to serve our futures is to release all that does not serve. Opening our hearts and minds to all the disparate parts of ourselves, without judgment, will allow Pluto’s fertilization post primordial liquidation.

Today’s full moon is at home in watery Cancer, the sign in Esoteric Astrology where Spirit is born into body and form. It is the sign of the Mother, of our emotions, and our HOME- symbolized by a crab; and today’s full moon is bringing in all the feels!

With the two personal planets of Mercury and Mars still in retrograde, the beginning of this year has us moving ever so slowly toward our goals. Forward momentum will continue in full force by the end of this month, with all planets direct until April 21st. Until then however we remain in a dreaming phase, where we need only focus on the ocean’s tide right in front of us. In these moments of incubation we can sift through the sand of our lives, and like any good crab, source the nourishment we need and discard what we do not.

Today’s particular flavor is extra tender, and perhaps a bit more emotional than usual. A healthy Square to asteroid Chiron in Aries may have our inner child crying for attention. A good use of our time today is attending to that inner child as we would our own children (if we have them), or any of our life’s beloveds. Showing up for ourselves and those we love with patience and compassion is of service to our soul’s purpose. When we turn our gaze inward, we are able to gain clarity of an otherwise unseen world. This brings greater integrity to any goal we are bringing into being; for when we create with purpose from a clear space, what is made is not easily unmade.
Capricorn is represented by the sea goat- one who never stops climbing from the ocean, which is ruled by the moon, to the mountain top. If on the way we remember the Earth is Home to our bodies, and our bodies are Home to our Souls, our Sacred Intentions are unleashed, and Society flourishes.

We may gain more lucidity of the gifts coming through our emotional bodies tomorrow, as Mercury is Cazimi (in the heart of the Sun) and trining Uranus. Pay attention to intuition, any downloads, sudden insights, and more heart-centered perspectives arriving. This will be the balm needed to welcome the abundant nourishment that is always within our reach; that is, when we pay enough attention to what the tides bring.

-2023 ASTRO THEMES-

This year we are moving into completely new territory with the seismic shift of two major planets, Saturn and Pluto, into two new archetypes, Pisces and Aquarius respectively. Jupiter will also be moving into Ta**us, bringing some much needed gifts and insights into our evolutionary cycle.

What this means in a nutshell: We begin to embrace the lessons of honoring the emotions within each of us, and are urged to take full responsibility for ourselves as individuals. We learn how our pain actions influence others and our communities, along with the empowerment of owning and processing our internal worlds. We begin to see the necessity of being fully in our integrity, to spiritualize without being in or creating delusion- so that the WHOLE is HEALTHY- so that it functions efficiently and effortlessly- so that our individual soul paths can be CLAIMED and acted upon. We do this in order to SERVE our communities, the human field of consciousness, and the interconnectedness of our species to the Earth and all living things.

We are being primed for these massive shifts with moments of intense initiatory experiences, blooming moments of broadening awareness, periods of reviewing our relationships to money and the monetary system at large, beauty, pleasure, our daily rituals, and our earthly organism. We begin to discover what it means to own the totality of the disparate parts of ourselves- and in so doing may dance between sovereign, individuated thought and group-think. (By the way Group-think includes any cohort in society, not just the mainstream.)

This is a year of taking action; of welcoming Sacred Confrontation over subservience. The goal here is to learn from others not only about the origin of their pain, but also how we project ours into the sphere of the community that holds us. How much of this can we really allow ourselves to feel? We must MASTER how to feel and how to flow. We must observe where and how we stagnate. Instead of placing our heads in the sand and pretending stagnation only concerns ourselves, we must mature so we truly see how our action or inaction impacts the Whole. Like the ripples of a pebble thrown into a pond, every choice we make- every thought we have- creates a structure, a form. What are we really creating here? For our futures? For ourselves and our families and our human community at large? For our very survival? This year we are courageously purging fear and delusion from our paths so that we feel and think and see what actually IS; so that what we create from this space is a form that can cradle the entire breathing organism of life.

The last several years have hopefully prepared us for this one. The deeper the shadow work undergone (that work I’ve been on and on about these last years- ha!) perhaps will create less impediment to the coming lessons, and more of an opening to the insights and gifts we will no doubt receive. Do not forget that hard work in these areas bestow blessings; and the blessings we receive - again- touch not only ourselves, but the entirety of life.

NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN//SOLSTICE

The New Moon at 1 degree Capricorn falls in the sacred window of the Solstice, where for three days until 24 of December, the Sun stands still. In the Northern Hemisphere where I live, we welcome the Winter season. This is the Crone phase of the Earth’s Cycles; where her gaze turns inward, and she allows death to come in order for life to bloom again come Spring.

This moment is the exact one we need to ritualize ourselves around what we are bringing into form. We are always creating, whether conscious of it or not, and when we are still enough to connect with our higher consciousness, we are able to get really clear and in alignment with exactly what it is that is manifesting through us. First we must allow the parts of ourselves and our psyches we discovered no longer serve us during the year’s eclipses to fall away and surrender themselves for burial. With loving tenderness and gratitude we thank you, and we return you to the Earth and to Source. Amen.

As we settle into the harsh cold and stark beauty of Winter, we begin to appreciate the Elder Wisdom of Capricorn: For if the integrity of the insulation is anything but supreme, or the wood wasn’t gathered or kept dry, or the hearth not granted the exact air flow necessary, or the food not managed just so, we might not survive. But if the walls retain heat well and the wood placed on the South side under cover, if the fire can breathe, and if we are integrous with our food intake, we have the opportunity- nay, the responsibility- to meet our higher awareness.
When our survival needs are taken care of, we are able to comfortably open to Spirit and generate that Instruction onto the material plane. This is the light, the candle, the Sacred fire, that is carried through the dark season. It is the word of Spirit, the internal flame within each of us- our inner Buddha, our Christ Consciousness- which brings sustenance to our Souls and order to our searching hearts.

So what wants making through your hands this next year? What words want sung through your voice or threads spun through your wheel? These dreams and visions carry with them Great Wisdom and even Greater Potential, when we meet our responsibility with deliberate fortitude, maturity, and patience. As the Sun returns, little by little each day, so too will our structures strengthen; so too will our Intentions made today bear fruit.

FULL MOON IN GEMINI

The last full moon of 2022 takes place this evening in Gemini. This moon has us holding the duality of our humanity, as we sift through the pieces of information we have gathered over the last month. Whatever conflict each of us is sitting with- whether it is with others or within ourselves, carries with it a karmic flair. What stories that we tell ourselves are attempting to be transformed? Where is there activation or charge in our emotional body, and what information can we glean from these triggers? What behaviors have we engaged in and what circumstances have we chosen that have brought us to the place we find ourselves today? These are all helpful inquiries to create healthy curiosity around any disputes or agitations we might have in our lives.

This full moon is conjunct Mars, which has been retrograde since October 31 and will continue until January 12, 2023. Over the last week or so, we each may have felt different variations of Mars’ influence, as we edged closer to today’s full moon. Agitation, irritability, reactivity, and deeper triggers may have played a role in each of our journeys. The language of the current sky tells us that when we care for ourselves, when we take a moment of stillness amidst an otherwise overwhelming diary, we may just receive some rather benevolent healing. Our wounded inner-child needs tending, and Mars’ intention has been to trigger that wounded one into awareness. Don’t go back to sleep.

What stories did we tell in order to guard ourselves from pain? How can we as sovereign adults tend to that pain so that we act with more integrity and flow through our lives with greater freedom? Where do we need to be more accountable and where can we invite some forgiveness or rest and ease? Gemini reminds us that it is in embracing exactly this duality that brings us a greater sense of wholeness. Allowing for our open curiosity to seek information from our shadow as well as our light, we find the knowledge we need. We then can flow out of this mindful space into the world with a more vulnerable and compassionate heart.

🏹NEW MOON IN SAGITTARIUS🏹

Now we rise! Out of the alchemical hearth of the last month we emerge, from the shared journey into the shadow, to share what we’ve learned. As we set foot onto solid ground again and begin to take stock of all that was transformed, there is a sudden levity to the ethos that is more than welcomed. We have been asked to riddle through so much of our deep psychic recesses, without the ability to sidestep the discomfort; but if we did the work of surrendering ourselves to that great Phoenix Fire, we now receive the blessings of our renewed Truth.

Our beliefs are formed from our experiences, personal and shared. Only after the release of the thousands of little deaths during our Scorpionic Shadow Walks can those beliefs we once held so close to our breast be challenged and transformed. In Sagittarius we are gifted the awareness of our strong animal bodies: The part of ourselves connected to all living things, that will carry our souls firmly and unscathed to the Truth that most resonates with our new frequency. We are also gifted a bow and arrow- so that on our search, we can aim sure, feeding our bodies as well as our souls. Here we receive insight, because we are hungry in that pursuit; and as anyone who is on the Journey of the Heart can attest- these truths shift just as swiftly and as surely as the changing colors of the sky.

The detriment of Sagittarius is stagnancy however, and here stagnancy begets psychic, spiritual, cultural and literal dogmatism.

Today on this new moon, we use our arrow as an instrument for our words and our dreams. We are supported by the energies of creation and imagination as our Spirit Desire materializes in the form of our own personal mythic voyage. From these mythos we aim our prayer for our futures, so that the path to our target is clear and direct…. So that the support and nourishment we need to reach the destination of our choosing, is received in abundance.

Happy Dreaming, Wild Hearts. May blessings surround you, fill you, and lift you to higher ground. May you receive the love of the Universe, and awaken to the profound beauty that is your very essence.
