Full Circle Wholeness

Full Circle Wholeness Counseling & Art Therapy with Devin Lafferty, MA, LPCC
Are you ready to find your inner joy? Life can be hard sometimes.

If you are facing difficulties that keep you from realizing your full potential, I can help by creating a safe space for you to recognize your power within. If you or someone you know is facing difficulties such as stress, anxiety, self-esteem, anger, depression, grief, chronic illness, trauma, or dementia, you are not alone. When you encounter rough or traumatic experiences, your mind and body tr

y to prepare you to deal with those experiences, even after they pass. It’s as if the difficult circumstance continues long after it ended. I can be with you to move through the challenges you're facing. As you begin to see internal workings with clarity, you recognize your own power within. I invite you to set up a free consultation and walk through the door of healing into the life you most deeply desire. I’ve moved through my own challenges with self-esteem, stress, witnessing divorce, integrating anger, and feeling the grief of losing a family member. These experiences inspired me to cultivate mindfulness, develop powerful support networks, find deeper meaning in life, and embrace art as part of my healing path. While the journey of growth continues, I have emerged from these difficulties with clarity, empowerment, and gratitude. In 2014 I began helping clients understand themselves and powerfully transform their lives. I see you in the wholeness of your being and reflect on your experience with empathy. Expressing yourself through artwork is encouraged as a tool to tell your story, release emotions, and discover hidden parts of yourself. From a place of understanding, you can see how life difficulties become the key to liberation. Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate:

It was a beautiful experience to volunteer to make art with children who lost their homes in the Marshall Fires with The Arts HUB. One boy built a house with blocks, containing all the necessities, like a kitchen and bedroom. He erected lots of fortifications, prompting me to see if it could be destroyed, while continually strengthening the walls. He engaged in similar processes, such as sand homes with moats, before engaging other children to build a big house together with pieces of wood.

Feelings of powerlessness are sometimes stored in the body when impacted by trauma, resurfacing in difficult ways throughout life. Constructive art activities can give children an outlet if they have a desire to rebuild and protect, integrating their body, thoughts, and emotions and cultivating a sense of empowerment.

I just signed up to make art with children who have been impacted by the Marshall fire. Every Saturday for the rest of March we will be making art and giving space for feelings that come up. The drop-in days will provide parents with more time to manage important fire related tasks—or to simply have some time off for self-care.

WHAT IS INNOCENCE?

I've always looked at innocence as what has not been poisoned yet. But suppose we consider everything in wholeness. Suppose we are all eternally interconnected, does "poison" exist as we know it (or perceive it)? Perhaps poison is simply a tool of transformation. It has no power to kill our spirit.

So then what is innocence, if we release the notion of poison? Perhaps innocence is giving and receiving wholesome love. If we are all in wholeness, we are all giving and receiving wholesome love. There is no "loss of innocence." Innocence is simply what we are, beings of wholesome love.

* * *

THE POISONED

I have been exploring my past lives. I don't know what past lives are exactly, and I release any attachment that they are what I imagine them to be. What I do know is that they show me information that resonates deeply with my being. I've experienced the most incredible epiphones and emotional releases when identifying my "past life" experiences.

One significant past life experience was a time when I had complete power over anything in life. I went to battle often, and won every battle. I lusted after women, and made love to any woman I wanted. I enjoyed the pleasure of winning, killing, and lusting, but I internally felt that I was building up poison in my being from the evils of my actions.

In my homeland there was a woman who struck me with her purity, innocence, and beauty. I of course was drawn to make love to her, and when I did, I felt the poison of my being transform her into the same evil I embodied. She was never the same again.

I felt horrible that I had devoured innocence, and swore to distance myself from tempation. My passion was closed. I have felt these conclusions and decisions play out in my current life, recurring over and over again, often in nonsical ways.

THE SHIFT

Now I revisit this past life experience with the intention to shift my perception and embrace my wholeness and the wholeness of the world around me.

Having seen the root of my struggles, I know that my passion is not closed, but is open. Rather than distancing myself from temptation, I recognize that I am in divine flow. I hold innocence with respect.

Knowing that innocence is giving and receiving wholesome love, I recognize that I give and receive wholesome love. I am innocence. We are all innocence.

I have a whole new level of acceptance, love, and appreciation for myself and the world around me. Thank you for sharing in this transformation with me!!!
