Throughout the Gospels, we read about Mary of Bethany continually at the feet of Jesus.

In the midst of the busy, she sat at His feet. (Luke 10:39)

In the midst of deep grief over the death of her brother, she ran and fell to His feet. (John 11:32)

In the midst of devotion and worship, she washed His feet with her perfume. (John 12:3)

Faith is not perfectly tied up in a nice, neat bow. It can be full of ups and downs. But take heart, bringing it all to the feet of Jesus, is always the best thing we can do.

So, friends-

Rest at His feet.

Cry at His feet.

Worship at His feet.

Bring it all to Him.

A reminder for today

10/15/2025

You might be praying for a relationship, but your heart is still healing from the last one. God delays so love won’t become your escape, but your overflow.

You might be asking for a promotion, but your character still needs to grow roots of humility before handling more responsibility.

You might be waiting for a dream to unfold, but God knows that if it came now, the pressure would crush you instead of grow you.

It’s God saying,
“I’m not taking this away. I’m just making sure when it comes, you’re ready and it won’t take you away from Me.”

The waiting, though hard, becomes part of the blessing itself because by the time it arrives, you’ve grown into the kind of person who can carry it with grace and gratitude.

Peace! Be still! The Lord called out to rebuke the wind and calm the sea.

As I read those words in Mark 4:39, I couldn’t help but see Jesus calling out to me with those same three words.

Peace! Be Still!

To my heavy heart.

To my anxious soul.

To my fretting.

To my anger.

To my complaining.

To my wandering.

To my struggle for control.

To my overwhelming fear.

Peace! Be still! The Lord calls out to me. Over and over again.

With those three words, the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. (Mark 4:39)

Could you use a great calm too, friend? Close your eyes, take a deep breath in and picture Jesus calling out to you, "Peace! Be Still!" Then, feel the great calm of Jesus pour over you. Open yourself up to who Jesus is and what He is willing to do for you. Remember the power He holds and the promises He keeps. Nothing is too great for Jesus to rebuke and bring peace over.

Peace! Be Still, my friends.
