By offering their services on a sliding scale they make home births and incredible postpartum care at home a viable option for everyone.
I have trusted both of my pregnancies (the second one is currently in progress) and my first birth to these amazing women. It’s been the best decision I could have made. Please schedule your donation to them through Colorado Gives Day NOW to make their services available to more women.

Thank you for all you do Community Roots!!! ❤️

Whether you’re a competitive athlete or just a moderate exerciser, systemic enzymes could reduce pain levels from chronic and/or overuse injuries. These proteolytic enzymes can support circulation, a healthy inflammatory response, and recovery of the musculoskeletal system after exercise. Many of my patients use them to reduce inflammation and chronic pain.

Systemic enzyme therapy is the use of oral proteolytic enzymes such as trypsin, chymotrypsin, papain, and bromelain taken on an empty stomach. Since stomach acid can destroy proteolytic enzymes, the best formulas are “enteric coated” tablets or “delayed release” capsules. Enteric-coating mea...

Especially when it comes to fertility and turning back the clock on those “old eggs,” matcha has been proven to be more beneficial than green tea.

Matcha contains types of plant flavonols called catechins, which have been found to have anti-inflammatory activity, anti-cancer, and anti-aging properties.

Springtime is here! This means allergies are coming. Prepare you body by avoiding these foods that have been shown to promote higher histamine levels:

Additives and preservatives
Alcohol (beer, wine, champagne)
Avocado
Coffee and tea
Cured and smoked meats and seafood
Dried fruits and citrus
Eggplant
Aged Cheeses
Leftovers from prior meals
Fermented foods (cheese, kimchi, kombucha, sauerkraut, yoghurt)
Foods high in protein
Vinegars/foods (like pickles and mustard)

Then incorporate these foods shown to reduce histamines:

Freshly cooked meat
Fish
Eggs
Gluten-free grains: rice, quinoa
Pure peanut butter
Fresh fruits (pear, watermelon, apple, kiwi, cantaloupe, grapes)
Fresh garden vegetables (except tomatoes, spinach, avocado, and eggplant)

Another thing to consider... Vitamin C is a completely safe vitamin known to play a role in breaking down histamine and reducing its circulation in the body, thereby reducing allergy symptoms. It also boosts your immune system to fight those springtime colds.

Open enrollment for personal health insurance is just around the corner. Consider a Health Sharing Plan if you are self employed or don't have an employer providing benefits. These plans have traditionally been religiously affiliated, but now there are a couple that are open to all.

With Health Excellence Select a single person will pay $249/mo
2 members will pay $349/mo, and a family of 3 or more will pay $499/mo. Once you reach your deductible of $500 (single), $1000 (2 members), or $1500 (3+ members), the health sharing plan will pay for the rest of your medical expenses. Really! Once you reach your deductible the health share takes care of the rest.

With a health sharing plan there is NO doctor network for doctors! You can see any doctor you choose. Just provide your card as usual. There are no co-pay amounts. You will pay the first $1000 ($500 for a single person, $1,500 for a family of three or more) of medical expenses which will be billed to you later after bills get discounted for having coverage. You do not pay at the time of service. For naturopathic doctors and acupuncturists you will likely have to pay at the time of service and then send in the bill to get reimbursed.

Here is the link to browse information about the plan and to begin the enrollment process for the Health Excellence Select - https://myahe.org/wishlist-member?reg=1410003032.

There is an annual membership fee of $125 (dropping to $75 next year) and one-time enrollment fees of $35.

With a health sharing plan you can get added Bonus Benefits for dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, prescriptions and other alternative care discounts which are included in your membership fee as well - http://www.careington.com/co/ems/liberty/ There is no additional cost or enrollment necessary for this.

1 Member $249. w/ a $500 Annual Unshared Amount2 Members $349. w/ a $1000 Annual Unshared Amount 3+ Members $499. w/a $1500 Annual Unshared Amount
