As someone living in Colorado, Earth Day feels humbling.
We’re surrounded by tremendous beauty and lucky to experience landscapes that remind us how powerful and alive this planet is.
At the same time, a lot is changing.
Wildfire seasons feel longer. Snowpack is unpredictable. Weather patterns seem different.
For a brain wired for pattern recognition, justice sensitivity, and all-or-nothing thinking, that can be deeply unsettling.
If you’re highly sensitive or neurodivergent, you might not just “appreciate” nature today; you might feel responsible for immediately resolving a dire crisis.
I hope this serves as your reminder that Earth Day doesn’t have to be about carrying the weight of saving everything all at once.
Instead you can:
• Notice what you love about this planet
• Choose one aligned action at a time
• Let your care be sustainable instead of urgent
You’re allowed to protect your capacity so you can keep showing up for this beautiful planet. 💛🌿
Happy Earth Day!
